The problem is the 'mob mentality'.

TONS of folks don't play until the JP gets to 150mill plus, so the powers-that-be want to make sure it's harder to win.

Contrast that by most folks on here (I'm thinking..), where if we knew we had a 'better chance' at winning 15 mill, we'd play MORE, not less. I don't play any more if the JP was 200 mill than if it's 15 mill, but I can tell you if Powerball was a 5/49+1 game, I'd play a lot MORE, regardless of the size of the JP (15mill... [ More ]

The reason i dont play the MI Classic47 is it is a RNG. Used to play but i also used to win, when i went more draws than i want to mention without a win i quit that game. MM and Pb do give me results and wins, also if i win the JP it will never be less than 15 million, 7 million cash option. Also no RNG with MM or PB. God bless and good luck.

In 1995 it took 12 rolls for the Michigan in-state game to get to $45,851,000 (ref MSL website). 1995 was the year before the multi-state game arrived here. Since the multistate game arrived in Michigan the in-state game jackpots have rolled for longer and longer times and it takes the better part of a year to get to about half that level (23 mil).

Currently MI Classic47 has taken 28 rolls to get to its current level of $7.9 Million.

Well it works like this you buy a ticket you agree to all of the odds of that particular game. Dont agree dont play. I drive a truck and buy tickets for mm and pb for almost every draw, i play a system for each game. Just cashed 13 winning tickets in for pb $49.00. Oh by the way money invested for 2 draws was $26.00, thirteen per draw. Reinvested the $26.00 and covered 2 more pb draws. May not ever win the jp but will try and at least have a chance. By the way the numbers are posted, then it appears ONLY high-population states should win the Lottery, and sparse states should not.

I have no idea why anyone would even play the game unless you live in a top-10 populace state..(sic)

But that being said, it's 'no fair' a certain handful of numbers hit much more often than another handful of numbers...

Why should winning millions of dollars be easy? Any lazy bum can spend $1 on a ticket and win millions of dollars. Heck, I remember reading a story about a child molester winning $57 million. The odds are that high for a reason. Winning the lottery means retirement to a lot of people. House paid off, bills paid off, vacations to anywhere in the world, expensive toys, the list goes on and on. How do you figure? There's a jackpot created by millions of players buying tickets and contributing to it and the ones who matched the numbers selected randomly will share a potion of the accumulated wealth.

There's no way everyone can share the wealth and get a potion of their money back or there would be no point in playing. If you don't want to contributed to someone getting rich then you shouldn't play the lotteries because the odds are that the some one is not going to be you.... [ More ]

Yes, you are being cheated. Look at the odds. Give me a dollar and I will give you 1 chance out of 100+ millions to win the jackpot. That's like hitting a bullseye with a pistol from a football field, while the wind is at 15 miles an hour, with a tornado in the middle as a distraction. Ok, maybe its a bit too much but people don't understand what they are up agaisnt when playing the lotto.

Michigan is not alone, there are SEVERAL states where winners are not chosen for extended periods of time, these things go in cycles, and it's also called RANDOM, or at least the Powerball is. Less sparse states win about as often as heavily populated states: PA has a ton of people in it, but I don't recall a jackpot winner lately, but a few years ago thay had 2 per year (or was it 4 ?) two years in a row.

Random.

I have also noticed with the raffle tickets no one seems to win from my area so I stopped buying unless I can get to the suburbs. MI is the Jackpot Vampire in all of there games. Lottery is just the poor man taxes. I think that it was started by the dem party and once again the rep still get the better kickback. LOL

You are cheating yourself by buying a ticket with the Jackpot vampires .

Look at how many times your state actually wins the PB or MM jackpot.

Using Michigan as an example you can see that we get the jackpot here once per year on average(sometimes 0, sometimes 1, sometimes 2).

Since the Multi-State game started here in Michigan, there have been smaller jackpots on the in-state game with jackpot winners way fewer and way further between.
