Those odds are just way too high, as it stands now with odds similar to the current rounded down Powerball (1 in 195M) or MM (1 in 175M) odds there's a chance to make it to 400M so there's no real reason to increase the odds that much just for a potential tripling of the jackpot.

I'd be first in line for the mega mega mega millions.This is so far-out,it will bogal the human brain.Just imagine winning. You would most likley faint when you hear you won $2 billion dollars after taxes

It might just be that in the future, with the jackpot being in the billion dollar or more. One can buy get a space in the ocean and built your very own island, in the shape of Bugs Bunny, with small airport and lots of luxury hotels in exotic landscapes...

1 in 2 billion is just too much. I'm having a hard enough time beating of 1 in 2 thousand. But I fear this might be the not-too-distant future of lotteries, if current trends continue. I hope not though.

Honestly, I don't believe I would play. It may be a lot of money, but the odds would be horrible. I'd rather put my money on games I have a chance of winning. (And yeah I know at the moment I throw a couple of bucks at Powerball, but I don't know how long I'll be doing that.

Then people will beging buying supercomputers and you are going to see all kinds of prediction websites pop up....

Of course players would have a chance. In a lot of ways, it wouldn't even be much worse than PB or MM. Unrealistic is unrealistic, after all. As long as you only risk $1, you're really not taking much of a risk.

That said, I'd be interested to see how a game like that fared. The biggest sales PB or MM have ever seen is only about 212 million tickets. Even if there were no duplicates, that would mean only a 10% chance of a winner. Nobody knows what would happen with an advertised prize in the... [ More ]

No, I would not play this.

Some people think the lotteries as they are now are rigged.

The one proposed here wouldn't have to be rigged, players wouldn't have a chance. They might as well skip the formailty of playing a ticket and send the dollar straight to the lottery with a note that says, Take my dollar, I can't stand having it.

Any state or group of states that would allow such a game shouldn't be allowed to have a lottery.
