Here in Virginia our Cash 5 game is a 5/34 game. You can play for $0.25 a line and win $25,000 for a 5/5 ticket. All prizes are NOT paramutual and there can be 10 winners for $25,000 a piece and everyone will receive their $25,000. I think VA is the best Cash 5 game b/c you can play 4 lines for a dollar, its only 5/34 and you get all your prize money regardless of our many winners. However, I too am looking at how to cut back on combos here.

It would seem to me that any filter that had a 50 - 50 ratio, such as odd or even sum, would do the trick. Here in Tennessee repeat numbers have a 47% success rate. 47% of the time there will be a repeat number. Which means that 53% of the time numbers will not repeat.

Still far too many combinations to play even should one posses the financial power. Just filling out 287,000+ slips would be exhausting if not impossible.
