, it really depends on how many active members and that number is probably under 1000. I doubt there would be $50,000 put into the fund and with such a broad distribution suggestion Money that we can use for important stuff or stuff we need, like an Emergency Fund, each year there will be 250,000 in a fund that we [LP community] can use for emergencies or other stuff, think about it as or LP own Bank. , it would certainly be a huge responsibilty on the person running it.

Pumpy,

LP or any other organization/web site could not do what you're saying -- collecting money from people and banking it. Any company or person who did that would need a banking license. It would also need to be regulated like a bank, or at the very least like a broker.

This is what PayPal went through a number of years ago. They were starting to hold money for people, and then the states came after them and forced them to modify their procedures so that they would not be doing anything... [ More ]

I think you are on the right track here, but just a few suggestions so that everyone who participates can benefit and at the same time, to eliminate concerns about issues of legality: it should be operated as a Birthday Club and preferably it should be supervised by someone LP members can all trust, like Todd. If operated as a Birthday Club, the issues of legality are null and void because when signing on to the Club, members are informed as to their rights under the Agreement - whi... [ More ]

I'm far from being an legal expert, but from my years of experience in different fields, I have learned a lot of things. First , this sounds like you want Todd to run an illegal lottery, breaking many interstate laws. I don't think anyone can run a lottery, except state and federal governments.

This is good idea, but i dont think it will happen. You probably talking

about the same lottery as millionaire raffles. We could even make more

winners then just 10....like maybe 50 or 100? These are better odds then

playing lottery.Question is,how we will select winners.
