Here is an example, my Husband has been playing this number 534 for a long time. I told him, you are wasting your money, it's not going to come out, so he stop playing it, and I will be dam, It came out in the Ohio lottery the other day, he blamed me because he didn't hit the number. I told him follow your first mind. don't listen to me or anyone. He goes, well you told mew to stop playing it, I think if a person likes a number they should stick with it because it will fall sooner or later.... [ More ]

In my opinion, this is a hard question to answer because I'm a strong beliver of LOTTO KARMA, it's when the exact time you don't play your chosen numbers is the very day they will hit. For example, just the other day I thought I would miss the 6:30 pm Daily 3 drawing because I was on a charter bus driving from San Diego County. I didn't have time to play before I left and I assumed I would make it back in plenty of time (i.e. before 5:00 pm) but the bus driver had a lot of stops and all the time... [ More ]

I fail to see where bashley stated missing every number that came out.

At what point does strategy become the seemingly abominable chasing? After a couple days? After a week? After a couple weeks?

For instance, bashley572 is playing the game blind. there is no reason to chase numbers unless you know what you are doing. My mother use to do that and it could take up to 3 months before she hit it and when she hits it, she hits it boxed. Find a strategy, no matter how much time it takes. It surely beats the hell out of losing a lot of money

Ok here's the deal! In order for you to play successfully there has to be a strategy that you use otherwise you playing blind. I would suggest you get atleast two different strategies. When a strategy is not working for you do not play until you feel that your strategy is coming back to fight. The key to any successful pick 3 or four player is CONFIDENCE

I hate to say this but GOOD to see that happens to someone else!! I can chase a number for weeks, then THE FIRST time I STOP/or am UNABLE to play it hits??? Now I can understand if this happens one or two times but I started tracking it and I am into DOUBLE digits of it happening to me THIS YEAR ALONE!!!

I suppose the answer is different for everyone. I think I would stop playing, if the playing was no longer fun or if I didn't have the money to do it. At this point, I haven't reached either of those terms, so I will keep playing

Before I retired, I and some of my co-workers put $500 on a game and I promised myself I would never do that again. We didn't win anything but that wasn't the worst part. Making out 100 play slips correctly was a lot of work and we had three days between drawings. I can't image trying to make out 200 play slips between drawings when most pick5 games have daily drawings.

Of course, I play a different sets of combinations for each drawing and don't pick a new set until I've updated all my files... [ More ]

Good Question. I am now working on that very idea.

I would not mind putting $1,000 on a P5 game if I had a high degree of confidence I would win. Heck, I might even do it more than once. I would never put more than $1 on any game in which I had little or no confidence. Therefore I am presently searching for criteria which would indicate a high probability of generating a winning combination.

i play cash 4 and one of my tells is if a 4 digit number has 2 of the same numbers in it on consecative draws (mid eve or eve mid) i wont play a num with those two digits in it on the next drive....

I primarily play Cash 3 and in order for me to feel confident about selecting a winning number I must have at least 13 previous straight draws in order to do my workout. In other words I must have, for example, 13 0-7-2 not 13 7-2-0 or 13 2-7-0. For workouts after a double I use all of the previous draws regardless of sequence. that is the problem with this site. You question involves discussing a system and nobody has come to a conscensus about revealing different system.

But that is a good question.

To answer your question, I do not look for indicators when not to play, instead I look for indicators to play or that I might have the right numbers.

So if everything fits into your data and looks good, then it is time to play.

When I am driving down the road and see a gas station with a Lottery sign winking at me, I slow down and flip on my turn signal, saying to myself this will be the ticket that hits . I then turn and see my wife giving me the evil eye with arms folded, foot tapping. Thats how I know when NOT to play the lottery.

Honest and Appropriate Answer to your Question is You got to learn how to play the lottery and then only you can know when not to play certain numbers.. to learn how to play can take as much as 10 years of hard work round the clock for 10 years.... Depending on which lottery you wish to play too varies....

How do you know?

When I am not feeling it I usually don't play. I have discovered that if I go against that feeling, I find myself wasting money. Many times I feel confused because I start second guessing myself. As a lottery player I am still developing my gut instinct.

very good observation. my own approach is to track particular sequence of numbers performance (not individual numbers), found that some global patterns can be formed in terms of weekly and monthly entry into the real-life game play.

I would like to gather a list of indicators that a player can use to determine when is not a good time to play.
