The man had every option in the world to do whatever he wanted to with his windfall. He paid the price for trying to be The Man everywhere he went. We see it all the time in professional sports. After he blew through half his dough and didn't make the necessary changes, it was already over before it started. I think he like all the notice that people were giving him. I think that was going to his head.

I don't think going to strip clubs was new to him. I don't feel one ounce of pity for him

In all fairness to him, he wasn't the one who lost control. It was all the people that were on drugs. He just wasn't able to stop them. Maybe if he hadn't put the granddaughter on a $2,100 a week allowance.

I seriously doubt he just started frequenting strip clubs out of the blue. He'd probably been doing that for years. The difference is he wasn't a celebrity before 2002.

He's not the first person brought down by a strip club.

but i dont understand he didn purposely won the lotto as to elicit the idea that he had a powerful system it was just luck that he won it...and i think the article said that he had: $50,000 in his trunk...

There is a difference between money being the root of evil, and the love of money. Money in and of itself is not evil, it's letting the priorities get out of balance and letting the love of money dictate your life.

Personally, I fall into this trap myself, because like many, I have problems that money can erase, but I have to remind myself that playing the lottery is for entertainment, and not something to rely on.... [ More ]

I alway use Jack W in alot of my comparison posts, but if i'm not mistaken his daughter had been severely ill for many years which is why Brandy spent most of her time with her grands.

I think you have to be smart and use caution...for the life of me I don't get why some of these winners make just a public spectical of themselves when they win.

I also think you need a plan...most winners are shocked when they win like they didn't know they were buying a lottery ticket and some how magically they won...if you play, have a plan.

I think he was an extremely nice and generous man who thought money could solve any problem. I was surprised that someone who was already relatively well off and owned a construction company didn't have a little more discipline and self-control. But sometimes the facade can hide a few cracks. You never know what's going on in someone's mind or in their personal life or what their demons are.
