A certain combo that I may have been tracking shows up in a pre-test. You say that it's luck for the most part, and you are correct. I do not understand the significance of pre-tests or any value to be obtained by knowing them.

If you were to use only the fifth draw as a basis for your research, you are still on solid ground. Much knowledge can be gained in this fasion. In fact, many polls use this same technique to determine the general population.

Now the number of pre-tests might be a different story. If they vary how many pre-tests they do before the actual draw, your field of research will be skewed.

Well I finally got throught to them and they said they will send me the results as you saw under the FOI Act, however they will charge me for it!

I don't know how much!!! I think is a small mailing fee plus another fee of some sort .. in any event I will have it!!!

Tiggs as far as trying to explain the reason for the test draw??!

1. They don't release the pre-test results. If they do, you have to jump thru hoops to get them.

2. They switch tubes around.

3. They don't reveal the NEW tube positions.

4. They claim the reason for pre-tests are to make sure the machine doesn't break down. The machine will break no matter how many pre-tests you do. It could break down right after a pre-test.

5. They actually encourage a breakdown of the machine by having pre-tests done. There's no such thing as perpetual motion, so... [ More ]

It's not a privately run game tiggs, this ain't no casino we're talking about. It's a state run game. The state belongs to us. Our elected officials are hired and paid as representatives to represent us. That means they should be responsive to our wishes.

I'm not saying they should take a vote from the public for every decision they make but at least take our concerns into consideration once in a while.

They haven't figured out that allowing people to purchase tickets online would most definitely increase their revenue and broaden their demographic to more 18-30 year old players. That Tenn. situiation makes me wonder if once they got a lottery they didn't pass out jobs to good ole boys or people owed favors instead of lottery people.

It makes me think of the very short lived season of legalized sports betting in Delaware. The just asked people working on offices to make pointspreads instead of using the real ones. Guys were flying out from Vegas just to make bets and they made a killing.But that was early 1980s, maybe even earlier.

They have not figured out how to get me to stop bothering them about the test-draw results: I kept e-mailing them about the test draw for pick 3 pick-4

Now they sent me this e-mail reply about been more specific with drawing records what part of pick-3 and pick 4 is hard to understand but I did not tell them what time period so they do have that right!!! I responded to their questions so let's see what I get back!!!

I would like to think they cover all the basics but after Tennessee installed their RNG and never noticed that it didn't generate doubles in the pick3 game for several weeks in spite of players telling them about it, I have to wonder if they aren't depending on the companies that provide their equipment to do that.

I read the cookie company made copies of a hand written message to put in their cookies and that was the reason there was a group of messages with the same numbers. They have since bought a machine to print each message and there will never be group of messages with the same numbers again.

Lotteries have gotten smarter over the years and their games have gotten harder to win. Remember back when Virgina lottery had a jackpot worth quite a big more than the odds of winning it and an Australia investment group tried to buy all 10M possible combinations and won the jackpot all by themselves. They showed with enough money and time when the jackpots were worth winning they could win them. That can't/wouldn't happen today.
