Why?

What analyses have you conducted that convinces you these repetitions might be anything other than what can be expected from the randomness of the draws?

As you can see, we have had some really strong repetitions. This is one way I look at the results in Excel (I had to post it to Word first, to get it to post properly in this message board.) This is crazy. You would be foolish to assume that these combinations are going to happen again. You would also be foolish to think that they won't. 5-7-9-10-16-18-19; 1-25-33-35. And what about 36, 35, 34, 33, ,32 on consecutive days?

The pay-out rules are probably on the back of your play slips, if not they are definitely on your lottery website.

I am pretty sure that I know the answer to this, but I am not certain. If you play Fantasy 5, say you play 10 plays on 1 play slip, will correct numbers not on the same line win? For example, If the winning numbers were 9-18-23-32-37, and you had the following numbers on two lines: 3-9-10-12-14, and 14-18-22-24-30, would you win a free ticket? Or do they have to be on the same line? The reason that I ask is that there have been a couple of times that I was paid more than I thought I should have

I know that feeling, I've had it several times lately and the best I've done is all the winning numbers at least two times on a $5 ticket and only three of them on the same line. Good luck to you, hope you do win.

You guessed it, the winning number was on the $3 slip, the one I decided not to play. I do not want to make another mistake like that again, especially on my 70 play run of Fantasy 5. That changes everything, you should be able to do it in half the time or with half the number of terminals.

Note: It's a jackpot game and a pick5 game, Pick6 and PowerBall type games don't have their own classifications.

There are 10 plays per slip.

And I am confused as to why GA Fantasy 5 is not a jackpot game. The prize grows every day, it is not a fixed amount. I would have thought that a game such as Georgia Five would be a pick 5 game. Now I am confused. Can someone please clarify this for me?

What you are proposing was done successfully some years ago with the Virgina lottery by an investment group from Australia. They took over terminals at three SevenEleven stores for three days and tried to play all the possible combinations. They made out their play slips and waited for the Virgina lottery grand prize to exceed the cost of playing all the combinations and when it happened they executed their plan.

Jimmy, those are all very good points. The odds are fairly high that someone will win today. I don't remember the jackpot getting this high in quite a while. Who knows if there will be a winner, and if so, how many.

It seems like a pretty good idea to spend a reasonable amount ($40-$80) on today's game. There is a good chance of sharing it with someone, but it is such a good jackpot that it wouldn't matter. It is interesting to note that four of last nights numbers were the top most frequent... [ More ]

Printing and buying all those tickets would be a logistical nightmare wouldn't it? The best way would be to approach the GA Lottery Commission and work out a deal to cover all combinations with one check. Maybe they'd even give you a discounted price, seeing as you'd be saving them a lot of wear and tear, paper, and administrative costs.
