Our rolls of tickets are all $300, so our numbers repeat more often, especially on the more expensive tickets. If I were to spend $300 on a roll, I know I would get at least $180 back, but unless there was a $500 winner in there or at least 2 $100 winners, I would probably lose mone... [ More ]

Perhaps I should reconsider my proposed ban on Ga tix. Your instant tix odds comparrison is very cool. I am not positive about it all and will take a peek at the Ga site when I get a few minutes. My prerception about Ma paying back more to players is born from something I read at one point within the last few years and it may be in overall payouts including all lottery games. It would be fun to figure it out though.

I decided to compare the top 2 $20 tickets between Massachusetts and Georgia. With the exception of the slightly better odds on the $1,000,000 prize, and the fact that the game has an $8,000,000 top prize verses our $5,000,000 top prize, I do not see any advantages to the Massachusetts tickets vs. the Georgia tickets. Yes, that was excellent. I do some of that to an extent. I do have better luck in the slower stores where I can actually count the tickets in each book. If I hit on a winner, I try and wait for 3 tickets to be sold before I buy another, and then I will often buy them until I have another winner. I dig through the trash a bit, but I have yet to find a winner so far, although I have entered many a second chance game with those tickets. I do also gather intel on tickets that way. OK, first of all I have been playing for many years and like most gamblers, I like to tell people what I have won, never really revealing how much I have lost. That being said, I typically play $50-$80 per week, most on instant games but some daily and JP games. Some weeks that $$ is gone instantly, some weeks it keeps itself going for days and days, sometimes I get it right and profit. I always believe I am going to win but I never expect to.

I had a lot of questions when I first started, and I still do. A number of members here on LP have been very helpful, but I have also learned a lot on my own. Wow, you are absolutely obsessed. Gotta give you credit for the effort and diligence you put into your scratch research. After reading many of your posts I have decided that I will never buy a ticket anywhere in your state if I ever so happen to find myself there.

We had a $500 winner at a BP station in Marietta yesterday. That is an excellent win on a $10 ticket, especially the day after it came out. I purchased them all around my part of town, over 20 of them, and I had 8 winners. I did loose a good deal of money, but that was mainly due to the fact that I was testing the waters, and trying to find out what they were made of.
