I know what you mean; Guru also matched 4 numbers and putting their numbers into the wheel using the same numerical order, the best Guru could do was a 3 match. But the good news is, Guru didn't play that wheel and won $150 on a $5 bet

Yeah, in real life, even having all the correct numbers doesn't necessarily put them on the same line -- while on the PB/MM challenges, it does.

That boosts the challenge's performance.

The 3if5 wheel reminds me of the time I played a 13 combo 3if5of15 number wheel and matched all 5 numbers in Rolling Cash 5. I was positive I had a least a 4 number match, but was really hoping to hit the jackpot. When I looked at my tickets, I only had a 3 number match and ended up losing $3.

I've compared all the abbreviated 12 number wheels using the results from Maddog's Challenges and the 3if4 wheel usually has the best result because it balanced. Had SavageGoose played his PB Challenge... [ More ]

If I had $43 to spend I would do an Abbrev 3 if 3 of 14 wheel which costs $43. 14 numbers is 25% of 56 numbers which is the minimum one should use when wheeling and it guarantees a 3 of 5 win. But I've moved aways from wheels because the combos generated are not that good and don't match winning combos. I focus on identifying good sets of numbers. Once you have a good set of numbers you can create winning combos easy enough without the high cost of wheeling.

I agree. The more horses you have in the race the better your chances. Having all 56 numbers in play plus all the megaballs assures you of winning no less than $2, and the possibility of trapping a three or 4 combination.

Be mindful that matching 3 of 5 pays $7. Matching 2 of 56 pays $0 UNLESS you match the megaball on the same line. Then you win $8.

To come out ahead you have to match 3 of 5 with the megaball or match 4 of 5, both pay $150.

Mega-Millions / Powerball wheels do not Work. The chance of you finding the right wheel are against you. You only will win the lower tier payoutS with these wheels never a JACKPOT. Just my 2 cents worth , I tried several softwares never to win even on pick 3 or pick 4 . I developed my own system thru trial and error for all games . With the 2if5of56 wheel with 46 lines, you're guaranteed a $2 win if you play all 46 MB and playing all 56 WB you'll have all 5 winning WB numbers some where in the mix which gives you 46 chances to match 5of5 or to win the jackpot. More chances equal better odds but usually if I have a winner, it's in the first 20 lines.

Yes, I would change the numbers for the wheel with 10 numbers. I thought picking 10 groups of 10 numbers would yield a higher chance of winning but wasn't sure.

Well, the first wheel you picked is literally set up like this...

1-2-3-4-5

6-7-8-9-10

and the second doesn't even guarantee a prize. I wouldn't suggest putting the same wheel down 10 times, unless you mean you are going to change the numbers.

I personally like 2w4if5of7 or 4w4if5of7 wheels because they are cheap enough that you can play 3 or 4 of them.

If you wanted a wheel with 10 numbers - I'd go for a 5w4if5 (51) or a couple of 10w3if5(17).

It's usually only after the drawing and losing their extra money that players care about the amount they spend on lottery tickets. Good luck.

I am able to put little more money into a wheel tonight for the Mega Million. My dilemma is deciding which wheel to play ( I love wheels, I usually win something when I use them).

Should I play an abbreviated wheel 3if5of10 (2 tickets), and play that wheel about 10 times ($20 total), or should I try the abbreviated 2if5of56 ($46 total) and just do that wheel one time. I don't care that one wheel is cheaper than the other, I'm willing to spend that much today since I have extra money.... [ More ]
