I'm in Brandon, near Tampa but I don't get into Tampa much. I hear of alot of winners in Tampa and Orlando, there's just alot of people there so makes sense.

There is a utility you can use to see stores that paid out more than they have taken in if you google luckiest lotto retailer

I've been trying to keep track of things and stick to general guidelines from here and what people are saying but it's been hard to stay patient lately.

I don't think Hialeah will cool off. I think there are 5 or 6 cities within Miami and the winner is almost always in Hialeah, it's weird.

Hialeah is a Lotto hot zone in Miami more so than any other city in Miami.

Im in the West Palm area. A FLAlottery search will reveal just how much of a dry zone WPB is for scratchers. The winners have been 45 minutes north of here in Port St. Lucie or 1 hour south in Hialeah , Miami.

that's a great strategy. I'm in west dade . I saw a sign in a local grocery store where someone won $10,000 in BDB and another $10,000 in 100,000 Lucky for life but this was at a convenience store

im in miami area, not very close to jax but all information can help me in which games i would play and just information on whose winning on what tickets would be usefull to me since i record all my losing and winning tickets very exact with the date ,place, and ticket number: and also have a daily win/loss graph; which helps me to decide the amount to spend for a day or the tickets i can afford, i even keep the money seperate from my other funds

played ruby 7 for the first time today. got 10 bucks for $5. Got my money back on a Miami heat and zippo on the Hornet which is aweful to scratch, one of the most flimsy tickets I've seen

I agree, my experience with the $5 has been 1 in 8 and then out of 50.00 spent it's only a 10.00 winner. If I don't find someone to split costs with, i'll be going down to a 10.00 ticket. but I 'd say stay with a 10 or 20 dollar ticket.

Well, I've never won on $5 Monopoly. Never won on $10 Maximum Millions, won 3/4 times on Lucky 100,000 4 life (only $15.00 but a profit is a profit

James1, ugh is right. Sorry to hear this, I know I'm opting out on some Florida Millionaire for a while. Since we have seen two of the 10 1Million prizes hit and one of those was near me in Tampa, I should have waited longer before attempting Florida Millionaire. Not likely to get another 1Mil winner near Tampa.

I really need to find someone to split some buys with. I think playing maybe out of the machine is a good idea with someone, play a ticket until it hits a winner then stop, maybe try... [ More ]

Hmmm buying an entire book can be good or it can be bad. Let's say you buy a hot book then you're obviosly a very happy camper. If you buy a cold book then you're a very unhappy camper. I'd say buying an entire book is bad idea. Why? The hot books are very slim while the cold books run amock like crazy. I know a guy who buys BOOKS and BOOKS and BOOKS of Billion Dollar Blockbuster and he hasn't won yet.

Man, I know seeing 'ugh' at the beginning of a post just cant be good.

I hope you recoup these losses 10 fold or more, and very soon. Meanwhile I would say hold on to those losing tickets, they could help at tax time next year.

even though you are in a different state, I thought for sure if someone were to take and buy that many tickets of a high dollar game, for sure there would be a nice payout.

Something HAS to hit big for you soon, so dont give up

Ugh. Went to the store tonight and asked the clerk any tickets win big lately, especially BDB and Gold Rush as I was interested in those. She said both won $100 or so just the last tickets so I obviously passed on buying those and notice she has 2 fresh rolls of FMC. I thought about and said what the hell went and got $1200 and bought both rolls. Took them to my car and decided to scratch them there. To cut a long story short I feel gutted. Finished Playing through almost a whole roll of Millionaire club. I had a feeling that something might hit out of it but it did not.

I only missed 2 Tickets that someone else got. Missed #13 and #12.

Tickets at the Publix Instant machine count down so that screws me up a bit too.

I hit 100.00, 40.00, 30.00, 25.00 x2 and 20.00 x 5 Three in a row occurred at 17, 16, 15 and wer 40,30,25 in prize amount.

Tickets 11 down to 00 only had 3 20.00 winners, Then the ticket slot read OUT in the... [ More ]

Great story James1! I have asked everyone I know to try to get someone to split the costs so any losses are kept down, that way I can get more tickets and chances to win and we split the wins. I would definately throw something in writing on an agreement. It was funny to hear your story because that same day, I was in my favorite store, had 60.00 to spend but wasn't sure what on. I agree with LuisM, it's great that you found someone to go in with you. I have always figured this would be a great idea to do with a friend, if I had the capital but I usually dont.

My question is, though, did you 2 agree on how you would split a large sum, if won? I could just see this other dude hitting 10,000 or higher and th running off and leaving you in the dust.

yes, this is true. and it's usually a losing ticket too. whenever I ask for a ticket and notice that it's shiny , I get that sinking feeling that's it's a loser

What ive noticed is that the newer BDB tickets scratch really poorly. Your coin will dig up the actual card along with the foil.

I personally believe that the odds posted are false. I used to win when this game originally debuted. The new Billion Dollar Blockbuster tickets are shinier also now EVERY retail station has them, this was not the case before........

The only thing that keep me playing BDB are the amount of jackpots. To me this ticket has the worst odds of any $20 scratcher out there.

I think the true measure of this is not the results, but that you actually found someone to participate in this experiment. But thank you for your reporting the results.

Sometimes I wonder if the odds posted for Billion Dollar Blockbuster are truly accurate. The Florida Lotto website mentions that this game has been re-ordered which means I think they ordered more to satisfy the strong sales. With 88 one million prizes left I'm surprised that more winners are not mentioned more often.

So I walk into the store with $100 today and hit up the Billion Dollar Blockbuster. 4 duds in a row. Horrible start I thought to myself. I hesitated but bought the 5th ticket, #021. Won $100 off a $$ WIN symbol.
