This is an interesting topic. I've read about businesses that sold lottery tickets and quit selling them for the same reason, they cut into business. I remember reading about some newsstands, like one here in town and those in the Atlanta airport the previously sold lottery tickets then quit. As for places to sell lottery tickets i would like for our local ice cream/burger joint and the laudromat here to sell lottery tickets as they are across the street from me. Our local bowling establishment sells lottery tickets and i was surprised to find one of our local chicken resturants also sold lotte... [ More ]

I bought some tickets at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at the Pac 10 Conference tournament last year. I haven't been back there since so I don't know if that was a one time thing. I don't remember them being there on previous visits to the Staples Center.

I'm really surprised bars (as in 'bar grill) here don't have them. I've seen so many stories mention people buying winning ones from there yet I've never seen any here sell anything other than food or beer, with the only games being things like pool, shuffle board and arcade machines.

There have been times I was out with a friend and we stayed past the cutoff time for buying tickets (about 9pm here), would have been nice to just be able to get some there.

out here post offices well the small ones ahavew been franchisewd out to small business , and other than the mail and bill paying, they have to make a buck any way they can, so yeah post offices well some sell have lotto . and a chemesit i went to also had it.

quite a few bars have lotto and keno ran by starte lotto here, especially if htey also have slot machines.

I can't think of any unusual places where lottery tickets are sold around here. I like to buy them in this little discount cigarette store, though I don't smoke. I don't like to buy in them in grocery stores, because you have to provide your driver's license to buy scratch offs from a machine or wait for someone to go into the manager's office to purchase tickets. Well the lady in idaho who won the Mega Millions won at a carwash. I think although I'm not 100% sure that a carwash here in FL sells tickets too.

Never thought aboout it, but Hair Salons and Barber Shops would be IDEAL, but never seen them in there

lottery tickets out of machines ... 24/7 ~ 365.

Lottery machines next to ATM machines would be convenient.

Just avoid the temptation to buy more than your budget allows

I once spent two bucks on a couple of QPs at the local Seafood restaurant. I gave the cashier 5 bucks and she only gave me 2 dollars back. I told her and she corrected herself. I knew there was something fishy going on there but I didn't say anything and clammed up. Afterall I did shell out a lot of money for the meal. But for the most part the evening went well, and we had a whale of a time.

Well, Pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens although they are sold in independent pharmacies here in FL. The weirdest place I've ever seen a lotto machine is in an insurance agency. Some laundromats here sell lotto tickets too.

Here in Somerset 2 miles from us they have a Tobaccio Barn the size of a shoebox who sold a 200,000.00 [owerball ticket last weds..Had no idea they even sold lottery tickets there it's so small..

Where would you like to see lottery tickets sold where they are not now sold in your area?

Some of these lately are news to me, the laundromat and some other places.

Around here it's mostly groceries, covenience stores with gas pumps, , liquor stores and smoke shops.

One time we wwre in Terre Haute, Indiana and stopped in a diner to eat and they had lotto, that was pretty neat.
