out here post offices well the small ones ahavew been franchisewd out to small business , and other than the mail and bill paying, they have to make a buck any way they can, so yeah post offices well some sell have lotto . and a chemesit i went to also had it.

quite a few bars have lotto and keno ran by starte lotto here, especially if htey also have slot machines.

Travelers going from state to state need opportunities

to buy lottery tickets during their pit stops and brief layovers.

Many people don't leave the transportation facility as they wait

for their next flight, train or bus connections and want lottery

tickets. I would like many conveniently placed lottery kisoks in the

AIRPORTS, TRAIN STATIONS, and BUS TERMINALS.

Funny I was just thinking here waiting for the bus or the "L" train.

HAHAHA on the PO idea. Hope it would be a separate window or you'd be in line forever.

I really, really like that idea. I mean, you can play the slots in the airport of Vegas, why not have lottery machines in transportation places?

Lottery kiosks conveniently placed:

Sports Stadiums or Complexes

Racing Tracks (after bets are placed, of course)

Hotels and Convention Centers

I'm really surprised bars (as in 'bar & grill) here don't have them. I've seen so many stories mention people buying winning ones from there yet I've never seen any here sell anything other than food or beer, with the only games being things like pool, shuffle board and arcade machines.

There have been times I was out with a friend and we stayed past the cutoff time for buying tickets (about 9pm here), would have been nice to just be able to get some there.

I bought some tickets at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at the Pac 10 Conference tournament last year. I haven't been back there since so I don't know if that was a one time thing. I don't remember them being there on previous visits to the Staples Center.

As for places to sell lottery tickets i would like for our local ice cream/burger joint and the laudromat here to sell lottery tickets as they are across the street from me. Our local bowling establishment sells lottery tickets and i was surprised to find one of our local chicken resturants also sold lottery tickets

This is an interesting topic. I've read about businesses that sold lottery tickets and quit selling them for the same reason, they cut into business. I remember reading about some newsstands, like one here in town and those in the Atlanta airport the previously sold lottery tickets then quit. The reason for it was even though the stores made a lot of profit on lottery ticket sales, sales of their other, more profitable products, declined, therefore the businesses actually made less money, so they got out of the lottery business.

I can't think of any unusual places they are sold here, mostly convenience stores and supermarkets. They only "unusua" l place I can think of that I've run into that sold tickets was a bakery. Never bought any there, but remember seeing the signs when I passed by it.
