Ha! Oh wow! Well I am glad you bought the 2 scratchers on top of those books!

I know it is disapointing for you though, to spend all that on scratch off books with nothing to show, but again, I hope those 2 scratchers helped ease the pain.

Were the books you bought in consecutive order, i.e. was the numbering on them consecutive

WELL The Other One, I tested that theory today...

Bought 1st book...5$ Stacks of cash...80 tix in a book = 400.00 , when all said and done, didn't even break even...165.00...no 100.00 scratcher or even higher, the highest ticket was 30.00...most were free tickets and 6 dollar amounts..these are supposed to have 20X too, no 20x, no 10x...nothing.

tried a 2nd book...100,000 Riches...same thing...5$ scratchers...also supposed to have 2x, 5x, 10 and 20 x...highest amount I received on one tic... [ More ]

I really wish I had the cash to buy 3 or 4 BOOKS to test the theory, not just one book to test with 3 or 4 tickets in a row, for example.

I mean, if you apply the odds to books at a time instead of tickets, it makes me wonder if on average every 4 books would net you a profit.

Then again, this could also work against you. Just as there can be scores of losing tickets in a row, there could also be scores of losing books in a row.

Thats what I was thinking also. The $20 BDB and $20 200K for life $20 $3 Mil Monopoly are all $1,000 books which is steep. I can swing the $600. Im planning on doing this in about 3 weeks when I head out for my trip, so if the 1st $3Million top prize hasnt been claimed by then I will go with that one.

Ill post results after I do.

You should try a book of FMC 30 tickets $600 bucks. I have not had any big winners yet but I have a feeling $3 Million will be won soon.

I dont think id do a whole book again...if i did, I would stay away from the 2$ ones and go for the 5$...they come in books of 80

Congrats on your wins posted above!. Ive never bought a whole book before, but Ive been thinking about it for a while now. Im going to a race in March for a guys vacation, I think I might buy one on my trip to splurge a lil bit. Havent decided which game I want to get yet

Buying at random has always worked out decent for me, but I at least once want to buy a book.

This is the misconception for many scratch off players....Although the odds are 1 in 4 for example, that doesnt mean out of every 4 tickets there will be a winner. There could be 20 losers in a row, then on the next book of tickets there could be 5 winners in a row. Like others stated above, the odds posted are for the entire pool of tickets created for that game.

I'll stick to buying random scratchers, I won over 2K this week...2-5 dollar scratchers each 500$ ... Stacks of cash and 100,000 Riches

400.00 of two 2$ scratchers ( Green 200's)

a 200$ prize off Double Match and 4 100.oo prizes from Double Match, In the Money and 10X...so yeah I guess i didnt do too bad...

The odds on the tickets applies to all the tickets printed for that game, you just had a sampling of 100 tickets which doesn't represent the distribution of prizes for the thousands of tickets printed.

CALIFORNIA LOTTERY

So today i decided to be crazy and buy a whole book of 2$ scratchers. there are 100 scratchers to a book.

Normally, I buy 10-20 at a time and make out either doubling or tripling my money.

So I buy the book and start...this is where it gets misleading: on the back of each scratcher it tells you the odds: odds of winning ANY prize: 1:4.33

odds of winning a CASH prize: 1: 7.62

So technically every 5-6th one should be a winning ticket and every 8-9th... [ More ]
