This could easily have been chance, but considereing that giant bet, the House probably allowed very lenient rules, probably a House Edge as low as .05%. I don't know of anybody flipping coins and betting on the outcome, but they have to make the same choice, Red/Black, Even/Odd, or High/Low as Roulette players make. It doesn't make any difference if they choose one past bias over another, it's still a starting point. If you have a probability that in 75% of the pick-4 drawings at one of the digits repeats, that's a starting point.

Who said anything about American banks dealing with canadian banks? The money goes straight from that place that has a coin name in it, which obviously they're untouchable by the U.S. because my friend was wiring money to the Canadian bank well after April. Like you said, some of the bigger offshore places like the one mentioned above found ways around it. It goes directly to the Canadian bank.

Yep. In a fair game - at least, it's possible that in an RNG their could be patterns to exploit, although I don't persue them.

Games like that are bound to have patterns due to the signifcanly low odds of them appearing. As in - the formation of patterns in a Pick 3 game is frequent, but I don't think they are reliably predictable assuming it's something like a ball draw.

Obviously you and Stack aren't aware of how that one paticular offshore betting place has many ways to cash out. Do you really believe he waited till there was 1.1 million to cash out? They allow several ways to cash out in increments. One way my friend used is wire transfer money to a Canadian bank. The other way that some people I personally know, is that they request an 800 max payout per week via moneygram which is the way I'd do it.

Glad you mentioned Roulette because that game has a slightly different definition of Random than lottery ball or RNG drawings. You can make a Roulette bet after the random process begins. It's possible to track the speed of the pill, the speed of the wheel, the bounce, and calculate in which area the ball will land and bet 8 or 10 numbers in that area. Not exactly easy, but possible.

But based on my understanding of the Don't Pass bet, you're forgetting to show the effect of getting a 2,3,12 or 7/11 on the come out roll - which makes the edge of the much small - but existant.

Because of the large number of no results , the odds on Craps actually change. The come out roll favors the Pass Line but the odds are 3 to 1 that a number will be rolled and when that happens the odds will favor the Don't.

According to every casino I've ever seen, getting a single roulette number pays out 35 to 1, not 1 to 1.

In your scenario, the payout doesn't correspond to risk, which it does in roulette.

If you pick the right number on roulette they pay your 35:1, plus your original one.

A single number bet pays out a lot more, to compensate for the risk you take when betting on it.

A 12 year old could do the math and tell you that either one has the same edge against you, but would be able to tell you which they prefer.

Thank you OD, this man seems not to understand that sometimes in math you must multiply instead of add and subtract.

You get paid out as if there was 36 numbers on all bets in roulette, if you do the math, you end up with the same house edge no matter what - volatility is just a measure of risk.

If you're using an em prison rule, obcviously even money bets have a lower house edge. They don't on a European table that doesn't use em prison.

I was assuming it doesn't because most places in America don't use that rule. But that's a different story, and I was talking about the volitality, which would still show a higher probability of a profit over a set number of spins, something around 10-15, no need for a computer simulation, you can do it in real life.
