			<description><![CDATA[<p>I&#x27;ve been using Opera a lot lately. It seems to get the job done without crashing. Not sure how secure it is though.<br /><br />As for cable modem, we originally had a Toshiba, then that became flaky, so we replaced it with a Linksys from Office Depot and it gave us much better speed than the Toshiba ever did. My ISP is Cox Communications.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Pain in the neck to add in to Comcast (for eg.) a privately owned Docsis 3.0 Motorola Surfboard won&#x27;t authenticate even cloning the MAC of the old one............I think they use another identifier off the modem from the physical layer to authorize the connection, unless the modem is on their inventory it won&#x27;t fly............ for this customer I had to get 2nd 3rd? tier support to send us a Comcast modem that did better with VPN traffic. The cable company provides it for free use.<br /><br />You had mentioned that it would help provide maximum performance, which is why I asked you about it. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>Like cars, if you don&#x27;t get a new one, your old one gets worse and worse until it will no longer run.<br /><br />This is true when the manufacturer engineers it to become obsolete.<br /><br />When IE-8 performs at a rate roughly 1/9 of its contemporary, Firefox 3, on their home court, XP, miserably doesn&#x27;t seem that far off the mark to me. I&#x27;m still curious about what the main change was that brought about the dramatic improvement in speed from IE-8 to IE-9. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>What no one seems to be observing is that it&#x27;s the RELATIVE differences among the 3 browsers I tested on the same machine within 15 minutes, that is important. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>IE-8 is for Windows XP so by comparison your machine is probably much slower. Some manufactures did offer XP as an option after Windows Vista came out and their results could be slightly better. IE-9 is much faster but XP users can&#x27;t use it.</p>]]></description>
