			<description><![CDATA[<p>Good stuff, here. The Assembly language mention gave me a chuckle. Took a course in that -- talk about needing to have your code well thought out. Check wiki for a sample of what its code looks like.<br /><br />Back to VBA, I load the data into memory and run it that way, the spreadsheet is mainly just to verify things and save the trouble of writing a &#x27;container&#x27;.<br /><br />Unless they&#x27;ve upped it in newer versions, the maximum number of excel array dimensions is 32.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,<br /><br />You can read and write to excel files.<br /><br />There is no need to open them.<br /><br />The way this is done is in your java code.<br /><br />Basically you will be declaring a filename, a workbook, a worksheet, and perhaps even rows and cells, which then will point to your excel file -- workbook -- worksheet -- rows -- cells.<br /><br />Your code will then open the excel file in memory, not visible on the screen. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>I REALLY appreciate your in-depth description of which route I would like to take. I am currently interested in going the Java route; however, my algorythm is so complicated, yet so simple, that trying to come up with lego blocks to build in Java is daunting. Basically I have my 1000 lines of 400 cells each, and they are in an excel spreadsheet. (ofcourse, it always depends on how you costructed your code, algorithm)<br /><br />There is no user interface involved, that alone makes it faster.<br /><br />In Excel, VBA for that matter, you can not use threading, while in java (or c++ or c#, and others) you can use threading which allows different tasks to be performed concurrently. I see what you are doing, however, my process gets way involved than two digit numbers, and to explain it, would bore you to death. Maybe I can apply your concept if I sit and think about how to adapt it over into a 100 letter length word- maybe encoding every 5 letters into a one digit number. The letter length word is important to maintain in its entirety.</p>]]></description>

I use the letters on my phone keypad and try to help it make more sense to me. I&#x27;ve had some nice hits but I think it may have been random.. for example, the last 7 draws of the PA midday.
