Several years ago I was in a Sports bar in Michigan that offered the Michigan Lottery's 4 minute Keno along with all the other online and scratch-off games. When Ohio passed the no smoking in public places law, they offered their version of 4 minute Keno to offset the lose of business to bars and restaurants.

The states that will offer online betting that already have 4 minute Keno will probably allow the players to play that game online too.

So... somewhat like an OTB parlor but for lottery players instead? (I've never actually been in an OTB parlor so you might even be able to play lotto games in there already.)

I'm sure there's plenty of eateries in NYC that already do this, but there's at least one diner in Albany that I know of (and there's probably more) where you can play the full assortment of NY Lottery games, including Quick Draw. I know it's not quite what you had in mind, but the general concept seems to exist already.... [ More ]
