i had the idea of starting a business for online gambling...

you could go into the store...buy a coffee, or a sandwich, even a beer, or some jack and coke...play quick draw or regular lottery games...i could make money by selling lottery tickets...(no scratchers!!!!)

with some help from people on LP...i could possible win a jackpot in quick draw...or keno...that would help finance the cost of the lease...there would be some sofas...maybe a tv...kinda like a lounge for lottery players, maybe a pool table...i dont know...just a cool place for hardcore lottery players to hang out...24/7   without having to be stuck in front of the home computer all day...any ideas out there?

has anybody else thought of something like this?

gambling online is not going to be illegal forever...

So... somewhat like an OTB parlor but for lottery players instead?  (I've never actually been in an OTB parlor so you might even be able to play lotto games in there already.)

I'm sure there's plenty of eateries in NYC that already do this, but there's at least one diner in Albany that I know of (and there's probably more) where you can play the full assortment of NY Lottery games, including Quick Draw.  I know it's not quite what you had in mind, but the general concept seems to exist already.  Most people think lottery terminals are limited to grocery stores, gas stations, and newsstands, but they have them in other places as well.

Several years ago I was in a Sports bar in Michigan that offered the Michigan Lottery's 4 minute Keno along with all the other online and scratch-off games. When Ohio passed the "no smoking" in public places law, they offered their version of 4 minute Keno to offset the lose of business to bars and restaurants.

The states that will offer online betting that already have 4 minute Keno will probably allow the players to play that game online too.

yes couches are nice...its nice to be comfortable while you bet...i would serve food because i guess people would be bored of gambling...nothing gourmet...although i can cook very well...you dont have to pay to get in but you do need to show a winning ticket to get entrance!! this will keep out the stinky homeless bums!!! (i will give them a sandwich for free!)

never heard of a "keno lounge" i will have to google it!

a pool table in the keno lounge would be cool...even darts maybe...

OTB went out of business...or closed most of there shops...they were real seedy looking. They might still have one nice one not to far from Belmont...i dont know...

but when they were open there was nowhere to sit...i went in once and won 11 bucks on a exacta ...i forget how the betting works...

if i had my own lottery terminal, i would never have to worry about missing my bet because the line at the bar is 10 people long...

the thing about lottery in bars is that there are too many distractions...too many drunk people not playing lotto and yapping.

not everybody is focused on the same goal...their goal is to drink...my goal is to win...

i found a quick draw in a bar near me...but no couches!

The keno QD game is a computer algorithm...there must be somebody here who can beat it!!

I wonder if i can get a lottery terminal in my living room?

I figure also online gamers who dont have computers (...there must be a lot...old fogies and such) who might come out of the woodworks to play online somewhere that caters to sophisticated players...

Quick draw would have to be the loss leader...maybe sell more beers...to pay the rent...maybe have naked girl lotto ball wednesdays or some other weird promotion!!
