That's really good results, congrats! Better than 90% back! Ask anyone what their return on Scratch games is over the long run, and guarantee it'll be a lot lower than 90%. Post some pics if you can, I don't think we've seen VMC picture results from FL yet.

I did the challenge last night here in FL. I spent $120 and got back $110...The best pay-off were from the $20 and $10 tickets (Flamingo and 50X the Cash). Technically I am not down $10 as I had $2 left from the $120 spent in the machine so I use the last $2 on a Powerball ticket that vending machines here in FL sell too.

Right on... Just though I would contribute... I KNEW someone would get upset that I posted photos of a small win.... The point is, this method works. Buying various tickets randomly pays out More than buying a series of tickets from the same roll... This is a very controversial topic with scratch offs. Many people strongly believe that you get more winners buying a series of tickets from the same roll of tickets. This challenge proves that you win more buying random tickets than buying a series

Anytime you come out ahead with scratch tickets is a good day!

But what you did is what would be called standard play which is just buying a few tickets each of the few games you like to play. It is similar to what I do and others as well most of the time, but it is not taking the vending machine challenge.

The challenge involves some significant risk, buying 1 and only 1 ticket from every bin of a machine, forcing you to play even games you don't like and would never play. It makes no sen... [ More ]

If you go back a little, the pictures i posted on Dec 26, are from jacksonville,nc. My license would'nt work on your machines, so a store worker pressed a remote on her key chain and it deactivated the machine. Pretty neat.

Some of our new machines will scan and give you credits from winning tickets. No need in seeing the clerk.

The machines in FL are the same too, there all made by the same company. Although in Fl whenever i scan a lotto ticket it says it is not readable so i dont know if the scanning feature even works

Our vending machines here in North Carolina look almost exactly like this, very modern and gleaming with bright colors... I love buying from vending machines because I don't have to get in any conversation with a cashier when I buy. I also avoid the acquard looks when I spend $60-$100 on scratch offs.

The tickets are sold in reverse, from the highest number to the lowest number so if you catch a freshly loaded machine, you can purchase the last tickets in a roll and I've found they are often... [ More ]

I tried it today on a smaller scale. Instead of buying every ticket, I selected a few I liked, bought 2 or 3 of the $2 and $1 tickets, spent $20 won $24...

here are my photos of my small scale experiment... If you ask me, this buying method obviously works, buying a few of several tickets instead of buying 10 or so from the same roll.

Tried the VMC on a 20 bin machine in an crummy old liquor store. Had 1 $10 bin empty and did not have the latest games in it, those were at the counter. Got about average results, spent $60 got back $38, about 63% return.

Yeah, that little $2 ticket saved the day. They do that sometimes, although I rarely play them. But we have a new series coming out soon that will have a pretty decent $2 game, so I will give it a good shake.

Funny how I do better on average with the vending machine challenge than I do on regular scratch ticket play. Why don't I do it more than a few times? Had a spur of the moment impulse to do the Counter Challenge . I knew the one beer place has alot on the counter with no duplicates. 32 bins and turns out to be $210 total in tickets. 6 winners out of 30 with a Bingo and Crossword to scan tomorrow. Highlight was $50 on the $ ticket. That ticket could have easily lost and I would be sitting even worse. I know I keep saying I am done and I really have to be at this rate. Too many losers.

I done this twice here in Ohio...first time almost lost on every ticket..really bummed...but went back on another machine and won a $100 on a $2 ticket and a few tens and fives and ones on others...its really fun to do..but could cost you a fortune.

I agree. I have seen the 10X symbol 3 times(twice on one ticket). Each time was $5 next to it. I got a ticket last night from the self serves and it popped out a Cash 5 quick pick that someone played and it never fell. PA needs to use heavier stock. Those serve serve machines are bad for # games with how light the paper is.

Our monstrosities here in PA are green and yellow, I believe...I don't see them often but when I do, they remind

Thanks. I was debating going to the same machine and skipping the ticket I hit $100 on and doing the same challenge. I figured outside of that I only hit $63 out of $178(losing on 4 out of 5 $20 tickets). If you have self service ones that allow you to cash tickets at the machine, i would skip those. too easy to hawk those. Maybe I will do the challenge at the grocery store on the way home tomorrow.

Tough to get 24 tickets into the photo(especially with the large crosswords) but I can give you the highlights. $178 worth of tickets paid $163.

Highlight was 2-10X symbols on a 10X $10 ticket. of course each was for $5 for $100 total. The $100 worth of 20's only paid back $20 and non of the $5 tickets hit. I got $20 on a $2 -$50K Jackpot, $10 on a $3 Cash-In ticket and a few face dollar wins.

I've only done this once before, kind of. I played like 15$ worth of random tickets. I think a $5, two $3 tickets, a $2 ticket and two $1 tickets

I hit $50 on a $3 crossword ticket, $20 on a $1 lucky spot ticket, and ten on a $2 ticket.

So taking $80 back on a $15 investment worked pretty well. I usually don't buy a lot of random games.

Closest thing I've done to that since was purchased four $5 tickets and hit $40 on a $10K a month for life and

Well, against my better judgement I decided to try this again, but not on a self-serve vending machine. I did it in a store with one of those electronic ticket dispensers that the clerk controls from the register. Same principle though, 1 ticket of each game from this 20 bin display case.

Did pretty good on this one: spent $80 and got back $170. This included two $50 wins on $5 games and two of the winners were Win-All symbols. I love getting a Win-All, even though they may be small sometimes... [ More ]

We also have stores here with multiple vending machines plus large counter displays for tickets. And some stores I've seen have the entire wall behind the cashier covered with shelves and shelves of tickets, multiple copies of each game so people can choose which roll they want to play. That would be a few hundred dollars worth to play 1 ticket from each open pack there.

I agree. I think seeing the other states tickets and colors in mass like that makes it feel like we got new tickets. Something different to the eye. I did count them today and it would be a $700 fee to buy one of each. I just think of the 1 ticket odds and no way I would feel confident getting back over $100. It would be fun, but $700 would be better invested in a $20 book or (2) $5 books. then again you could get alot of decent winners and make out . Darn you guys for giving me something else t... lol omiller There is a place by me that has 2 machines and the stocked counter of

about everything else you could want in 1's 2's 3's 5's etc I could easily reach the

$700 one each challenge..that's nuts considering on a bad day every single one

could lose..worst case would be winning a free ticket lol

One day I walked into ticket Wonderland....even I didn't know where to start..

So I checked the machine. Would cost be $180. It is a 24 slot machine. Add that to the (2) 32 bin displays on the counter and the 8-12 in the counter and I have 100 tickets to do 1 each of. i think I would be broke or committed to an instituion if I tried it

I got thinking about giving this a try before i stop but then I remembered what you mentioned earlier. My store just put a machine in and has all 5- $20 tickets in there along with the 10's/5's etc. I think I would be in the $200 range and I dont get a warm feeling about 1 per bin. i think it would be cool and fun, but I just have thoughts of losing on all of them.lol .. Maybe I will do it. See what my mood is tomorrow...

wow...really? Pa loves putting out the $20's...they had a $25 a while back, I liked that one. I'm surprised they

haven't put a $50 out..I do believe Texas has one of those types.

We have zero $20 games here in CA. Highest we have are $10 games, only started last year, and there are only 2 of those!

The $5 games are mainly where it's at for us, there's about 8 of those in active circulation, woo hoo! Our lottery is so far behind the East coast...

How many $20 tickets does CA have out? Sometimes our(PA) machines have 5 going at once.
