If it's working fine without being in a computer program, why have someone program it? If you feel it would work faster and better as a computer program then train yourself how to program. Computer languages like Liberty Basic and KBasic were designed for just type of task, you could be writing your own computer programs within three months.

Thankyou Big Hitter, I feel completely lost about this and on the verge of having the system put into an easy to use software and I have worked 10 years creating it. I appreciate the advice. Anyone else with advice and wit is very appreciated too.

You need to have the programmer sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). These agreements are common and any good lawyer can draw one up for you. Software programs are intellectual property and can also be protected by patent and copyright. Get in touch with a lawyer at your local legal aid society and ask for advice.

I have a lotto system that has produced 6 winning numbers before and now a developer programmer wants to turn my system into a lotto software but how do I protect myself from it beings stolen from me? Do I sit down with him and just reveal how everything works in hopes he wont steal my system and claim it as his own or do I create a contract?
