Wonderful idea splitting a large group of numbers into two smaller wheels, if your goal is to win 3 number prizes.

Terrible idea if your target is a jackpot due to the poor odds of getting all the winning numbers onto one half or the other. The odds are the same as an all even all odd or all low or all high draw for the same number of numbers and the you still have to get all six on one line.

BobP

Say, you want to divide desirable 14 numbers into 3 groups of 6, so you wheel each 6 numbers and get 18 tickets.

What can happen among those 3 groups? I'll skip the loosing variations, but, say, the group is seemingly good and has 3, 4, or 5 numbers in it.

With 3 numbers in a group of 14, among 3 groups you can have:

1. 1 number in each group. :(

2. 0,1, and 2 numbers. OK, few free tickets.

3. 0,0, and 3 numbers. Fine, 3 number price multiplied few times.

With 4 number match a... [ More ]

Say, you got 14 numbers you believe should work. To wheel them is too expensive. If you are willing to risk, but spend less, divide 14 numbers into 2 groups of 7, and then wheel each group, that will give you 21 ticket and 21 ticket in Fl Fantasy 5. What can possibly happen with those groups?

1. Each group has zero matching numbers (very unusual for such amount of wheels)

2. One group has 1 number match, another has zero.

3. One group has 2 number match, which means multiple free ticket... [ More ]
