Of course saying that Multi-state lottery is rigged would be like accusing Wall Street firms and large institutional banking firms of cheating millions of clients out of money, then putting the pay backs on consumers while having the CEO's get millions in compensation at the same time, and no one ever being charged with wrong doing. There are just toooo many regulators for something like that to ever happen. Right.... Right

One thing I do notice a lot though with easy pics almost always the last number is in the 50's. The last 2 powerball draws I got 10 easy picks each and both tickets all the last numbers were in the 50's

I don't negate the fact that they do occur, but as you have just proven they are percentage wise rare. You went back to at least 2010 and have 4 examples. I don't count 2 consective numbers as being bunched due to the relativity of odds probability. It is true any set of numbers can win, but the majority of winning combinations to date do not contain bunched numbers. They are randomly distributed and selected via balls. bunched numbers do produce jackpot winners though

5/15/2012 10,11,12,14,24 mega 6 for $25 million

7/27/2012 2,3,4,8,23 mega 46 for $52 million

12/18/2007 3,23,46,48,49 mega 2 for 163 million

12/1/2010 5,10,11,12,20 powerball 2 for $95 million

plus there's more jackpot wins with 2 consecutive numbers

Though the possibility of a rigged drawing is almost nil due to safeguards in place and a ball select system, this same extent of safeguard is not in place for the mere selection of quick pick numbers. It is soooooo easy to have a computer randomly select within any grouping of numbers to create bunched tickets, thus a less likely chance of them hitting. Can they hit? Yes. Do they hit? That's why I started a previous post about the fact that I was getting bad numbers on many QP's. Was getting 10, 11, 12 or 21, 22, 23. This was happening quite often on QP's. Was so frustrated that last week I started picking my own numbers and will continue to pick my own instead of playing QP's. At least when I pick my numbers I'm not usually picking 3 numbers right in a row. Also on my QP's many times I would get 3 numbers that were on the previous draw, so frustrating.... [ More ]

Has anyone else noticed that quick picks are bunching numbers. I.E. 44 47 48 or 23 25 29 or 52 53 54, etc. a high percentage of the time! If you look at the winning powerball numbers you will notice they rarely display this senario. However, the quick picks favor this setup a high percentage of the time. I have been following this pattern for over a year, purchasing 5 to 20 tickets a drawing. I know all numbers have an equal chance of winning, but patterns do develop and these don't necessarily... yea it can happen but I think people can ruin their lives and mental well being by committing to a set of numbers for years. Other things come up in life and is one going to be more focused on living life or playing the same set of numbers until they die? It can make people too wrapped up in their numbers and become an obsession.

It seems like we have the QP thing in common (getting many numbers in a row). It's good that you don't commit to a set of numbers more than twice in a row. I am in favor of picking your own numbers. I like to think I control my destiny (at least a little) and 99% of the time when I have got QPS, the numbers were terrible (like 4 numbers in a row). But I don't commit to a set more than 2 times in a row. It does not take much to scroll down past winning numbers and say....hmm I think 2 is due again. Its a game of Chance- anything can happen.That is why the majority of wins are with QP's.People pull into a gas station, fill up and see the amount for the game and give the clerk$2-3 and next thing you know, they have won.

I had posted about my bad luck with QP's recently. Mentioned that I had 2 lines with 3 numbers in a row on a QP for Mass Cash. Well last Wed. for the Powerball drawing I switched things up.
