Quality control is a VERY important concern with company's producing scratch tickets.

You have to understand that depending on the particular press and game being run,tickets are being produced at the rate of 1+ million/hr. Some very large games can run for several days straight.

The quality(viscosity's) of the inks being used in vat's are checked hourly by the ink tech's.The security inks (covering numbers)are run thru the most rigorous/elaborated test to assure the ticket cannot be broke... [ More ]

I was afraid that if you were employed by the lottery you couldn't play the lottery anymore ,so have never applied for a job with a lottery (that and the fact that I don't live close to their headquarters). I agree. I think he sealed his own fate. Never bite the hand that feeds you. I think the guy can be excused by his youth. He can afford to make more mistakes. He just needs to learn from them. Hopefully, this thread will make him realize his mistakes and he can change. As they say, whatever doesnt kill you is sure to make you better.

Particularly the part about the lottery. Being a very good lottery player will not earn you the job! While it is fantastic to say how you are knowledgeable about playing the lottery, the lottery is just a business -- a marketing business. They want to hire people who work well with others and are friendly and hard-working.

So leave any discussion about how you pick your lottery numbers at home

Good luck but I think you may have an uphill battle. Don't you assume state lottery employees on occasion visit this site? You gave out some info that would easily allow them to figure out who you are and you badmouthed your current employer. One of the big concerns for people your age is appropriate use of social media.

I believe in Nc you can't play the lotto if you work for the lottery commission...that goes for scratch-offs and any multi and inter state games that they are part of

I worked for several years on various printing presses in Georgia(USA) that produced scratch lottery tickets for numerous country's worldwide.

It was a MOST interesting job.Learned a lot about prize structures, which are not favorable to us lottery players.

This company produced billions of tickets each year on several presses they operated 24/7 including some holidays.

A very lucrative business for state and other world goverment coffers.

I dont know the rules about employees playing the lottery. But id be fine driving up to Salem, NH for my lottery fix and Rhode Island for their Million dollar raffle.

I say the job is good considering the economy and also what you have to do while at the job. The worst duty at Dunkin Donuts that I could think of is cleaning the bathrooms. Now compare it to being a nurse. Yes you make top dollar but you have to put up with the worst of the worst every single day. Bed pans, infected wounds...you get the picture. The pay at Dunkin Donuts is kinda low so that sucks.

Dunkin Donuts is better than a fast food joint such as McDonalds, just serving Coffee and Donuts. I would take a job there if I could, trying to apply for anything at the moment.

I sent in an application for employment at the Massachusetts State Lotter today by mail. I will also send one by email. too. It is for a customer service rep position at the Lottery office in Woburn, MA which is close to my home. I applied for the same job last year around the same time but they werent interested in me. It is a job that I am qualified for. Most of the other jobs I am not qualified for and would have no chance getting. I will be 24 next month and I currently work at a Dunkin Donu... [ More ]
