I would continue playing until I am the only winning ticket for one of the multi state jackpots. Then I will announce my retirement from playing the lottery during the press conference...though I will leave option to make a comeback ala Brett Farve and Michael Jordan on the table

I don't know. I guess I would have as good a chance as anyone else to win another lottery. Contrary to popular belief, lightning often DOES strike the same place twice.

A few months after the Texas Lottery had started, the lottery commision ran a commercial on TV and radio featuring two of the winners and they argued who was going to be the first one to win it twice. I've been In every draw since the game started, even the first couple years when It was called the big game

Now I'm trying to figure the minimum JP level at which I would buy an occasional ticket.

I suppose I'll have to see how fast the JP rises w/the new impossible odds.

If a lot of folks quit the game that could take some time.

The best revenge is living well! If someone has a jerk employer, etc., they will be more ticked off if you ignore them and say buh-bye when you win.Oh and also mention how you are giving a cash gift to one or two people there but you are sorry to inform them that he/she is not one of those people. lol

I would still play but I am out of MM when it changes also. That many numbers seems like Bingo to me or that Keno game I see up on a TV screen every time I buy my tickets in DC.

I would continue to play w/any win under 10 MILS. clear,

but w/a bigger win than that why quit ? now you can afford It so much more.

It's a much smaller part of your net worth, however, I would still have a budget.

Playing the lottery ain't like a job I hate that I'd wanna quit if I won.

I enjoy it, that's why I play.

And I'd still enjoy it if I had more money.

Seems you agree with me about playing yet your husband would be fine with 1 million. Don't get me wrong I would be thrilled winning 1 million but after taxes are taken out and if you take the lump sum on a scratch ticket it's far less. It would be a tremendous help but wouldn't be able to retire on it, therefore I would keep on playing. I would continue playing, a million dollars out here in California would buy one an outhouse- depending on where one lived, but in all seriousness it takes more than a million to retire on unless one has a pretty good nest egg in place prior to the win.

I would continue playing if I won $1 million. That's not a heck of a lot of money. If I won a bigger jackpot, then I doubt I would continue buying lottery tickets as my job would be done.

Heck yeah I would continue to play there was a lady a few years back that one the 3 or 4 times in Texas. Now hubby on the other hand said he wouldn't he said he would be fine with $1million.

Just curious what people's thoughts are if you would continue playing the lottery if you won 1 million on a scratch ticket or a draw ticket? Just read about the Indiana woman who won 500,000 in 2008 and just recently won 1 million on another scratch ticket. I would continue to play if I won 1 million.
