Nah, I gave up possum a long time ago, been eatin' a lotta squirrel though and the ex's would never find me back up in here.

Been readin', ruminatin', runnin' ridges, pickin' poke sallet and what have ya.

Gettin' cold but at least the constant rain stopped.

Only rained twice last week.

The first time for 3 days and the second time for 4 days.

I agree that our Government (local, state and Federal) have made it nearly impossible for a new start up to succeed. There are many regulations one has to jump over and most have no correlation to the business itself.

Addictive gambling is true for fast games like roulette, blackjack and so on. The lottery games are different. You also don't see kids crying in front of a newspapers shop waiting for their parents to come out. You don't see cheaters with lottery games being escorted to the door by security.

When you bought a ticket, you heard the price. There is no excuse later, when you haven't won, that you didn't know the costs. You paid the tickets, so stop crying, it was your responsability.... [ More ]

Often the people who work the hardest make the least money. Our society has pretty much made it illegal to get out there and earn money. You can't start a bakery from a home kitchen you must have a commercial kitchen and not an older one anymore either, all those sorts of things people used to do to get a start down to selling oranges on the corner are illegal. Unfortunately a large percentage of our society want instant gratification. They lack motivation to work hard and pave their own destiny for the future. 90% of the population are not saving enough for a retirement and almost half have absolutely nothing saved.

Relying on the lottery or the Government for your financial future should not be a part of ANYONE'S bucket list.

Many years ago I heard the quote:

Work Hard (if you were not born into money this is how you aquire money)

Invest Wisely (Educate yourself, learn for yourself how and where to invest)

And play the Lottery (because you never know when lady luck may shine upon you)

Do this in this order. Unfortunately alot of people just want to play the lottery so they can avoid the rest.

Well I don't think it is stupid to play the lottery but as I always say, it needs to be only a part of your life. It should not be used as an excuse to place your life in a holding pattern. Life is short so go for that accomplishment or goal or dream now.
