I have one set of numbers that I play every time I get a ticket. Any others I play I switch up whether it's me picking the numbers or getting a QP.

I have a set of numbers that I have played for many years I can't stop playing them now or I know they will come up. I will occassionally add to the pot a ticket of random numbers or a quick pick.

Hey Nightjar- whether l am a serious combination finder or not, you seem to forget that you responding to an answer posted over a month ago.Do you even know what day it is?... Get back to reality.

By the way a nightjar is a nocturnal goatsucker with a wide mouth ( Lottoboner) used for scooping up insects in mid-flight. That's the picture l get of people who make idiotic statements from time to time. You fit the bill.

Now that most of the Michigan games are RNG there is no point in playing the same numbers over and over. Why would they let you win a jackpot when they know they will be getting a dollar from you every draw?

I have numbers I have been playing on the Fantasy Five since it started and the odds are that they should win $100 by the end of the year.

Send me a PM with your numbers I will let you know how they fair in the past drawings. I am currently doing a workup on the CA Super Lotto from Jan 2009 thru Nov 2013. I will let you know how I am doing. I for one will never play QP's as you can do alot better if you know what combinations come in the most often via HISTORY..... I cannot tell when a set or combination will hit again, but I can tell you the best combinations that have come in the past. History does repeat.

I also tend to just buy quick picks for the same reason you mentioned. On occasion I might pick my own numbers to change things up but that is rare.

I just get a Quick Pick every time I get a ticket, I don't play every draw and would be pretty annoyed to say the least if my numbers came up when I didn't play.

Quick Picks just take out the stress of playing for me.

I'm pretty sure the OP's intent was that the question is geared toward jackpot games, so the chances of getting combinations you've played in the past are extremely slim.

I read it to mean changing your combinations every drawing compared to playing the same sets for months or years. Either way it basically means the same thing and QPs can't guarantee your combos will change on the West Coast or East Coast.

Re: Playing the same numbers or not. Back in the days before multi-state games one time the Illinois lottery jackpot was $43,000,000. A prineer from Chicago won it.

That week one of the tabloids had 2,3,10,29,30,43 as the lucky numbers for my zodiac sign. Those were the very numbers that he hit. I was in Vegas then and couldn't play lotto, but I remembered the numbers.

I haven't played them in any game, figuring it's very doubtful that entire set will hit again.

I play one line of my own birthday numbers and one line of QP's for every draw, for a month at a time.

But please do not attempt to replicate this system on your own. It's too complex and you'll wind up in the nut house.

I been playing the same #s on the JC5 game for over 10 years, this is a 7 days a week game and I consider it my daily #

Only problem is now I'm afraid to miss a single draw,

the other game I change the #s often enough that I don't remember them

or I get QPs

Well, noise-gate, let me put it like this. I've read many a stories where people had very sentimental numbers they always played. Then, I's read the part where one of several things happened at some point. (1) They forgot to play and thos numbers hit. Or, (2), they played the numbers, forgot they actually played and learned way later that they ended up finally winning. Lastly, we can look at the story that was posted here at LP, maybe a couple of years ago about that lady from Virginia.

Lots of players play the same set of numbers does not translate into lots of winners- why Stack? ..because QP's claim the lion's share of the jackpot wins out there. If one is playing their own numbers, that in of itself does not denote a QP.

Whether l am buying QP's or just using my own numbers, l will change it up.

Since the odds of picking the winning combination or buying a QP with the winning combination are exactly the same, there is no advantage in doing either. Because you can't win the jackpot without matching the bonus number, there might be an advantage keying on bonus numbers.

It's hard to say what is going to work. I do all three: play my own numbers for over 12 years, chase the lottery numbers to pick what might come out next, and do quick picks. I only know about two people that have won big by using unique numbers, and yes there could be more. That is why I'm starting to believe that the lottery looks for the least played numbers ( unique numbers ). Last year we had an individual from Southern California who had a press conference in which he spilled the beans on his winning formula. Anniversary,kids birthdays,baptism,football jersey number in HS, etc etc.
