Yes the odds are high. Buy ONE ticket. You are in the game. Risk is $1. You spend more than that on cigs, booze, pot, dope, whatever else.

BTW, the odds on Texas Lotto are 1 in 25,827,165. It's just as hard to hit that baby as the other games. Even the Cash 5 game is hard to hit. So, don't get so uptight about the odds. ALL the games are hard to hit, and you very most likely are going to spend more than you win. Just have fun with it.

They should call them further odds and closer odds so we know what they're talking about.

Thicker and thinner odds would be ok too.

And maybe faster and slower odds.

Even hotter odds and colder odds might be ok.

But hemorr odds would be ridiculous.

So let's not even go there.

The Dec 12 Detroit News on the internet says Lower odds lead to bigger jackpot.

I think it's a typo as the LA Times says longer odds.

I was watching the news out of Philly and the 11.00 am anchor said the odds of winning were 1 in 175 MILS.

I guess he doesn't play or doesn't care.

Looked at my quickpick and saw large numbers and thought their was a computer error. I haven't bought MM in a while so I didn't know the numbers changed. What are they thinking? The odds were already absurd - 1 in 175 million. Impossible but within the realm of enjoying a brief dream for fun once in a while. But now the odds are an amazing 1 in 256,000,000. Wow that's not even worth dreaming about.

Even the 2nd prize odds have worsened to 1 in 25,000,000.
