While I would like to believe that a significant portion of the money I spend on lottery each week does go to education, the sad truth is I am just not sure. My trust in our leadership today has diminished to an all time low. The integrity to do what is right is altered by doing what/how someone personally feels/interprets the subject. Cell phones don't work where I live.

Which works out perfectly for me.

Cuz I hate talking on the phone anyway.

And I especially hate listening to people.

Seems like such a waste of time.

I'd much rather they wrote me letters.

But they'd be the size of books.

And I only like to read books that I pick out.

Not books full of vain, inconsequential rambling.

Like a telephone call in print.

Not only kids, but also adults bend down looking at that little screen. It is addictive to be unsocial.

When I was a kid, I had no such 150 to 500 dollar tool to pass the message hello world . I didn't even have a decent walkman and not even thinking to an expensive leather jacket or a scooter.

I rarely see a kid anymore without his head bent down looking at the screen and his thumbs going a mile a minute.

There's gonna be a big market for stuff to repair the damage in a few years.

Of the choices I voted for Vo Tech. enough kids are being pumped out of universities up to their eyeballs in debt because of student loans and with degrees that don't get them jobs.

Sadly, as far as education support from the lotteries, many states practive voodoo accounting and just run the lottery money through the education systems to make it appear to have gone for education. It's not the lotteries doing that though, it's the state governments.

I'm sure the lottery money goes into the education fund in those states that have it set up for that, but then they put less in from taxes. So the extra money from the lottery isnt really giving the education funds a boost at all. Government waste is the problem but americans are too lazy to boot out the idiots that are responsible for it.

the money goes to the prize winners (who pay back 30% to 40% in tax) ...........15% goes back to the

retailers state run marketing and operations departments and............25% goes back to the state for

government services for you and the citizens of your state!

Only about 27 states earmark some or all lottery revenue for education:
