Lottery ticket sales bring the states hundreds of billion  dollars each year.  Some say.........about 60% of

the money goes to the "prize" winners (who pay back 30% to 40% in tax) ...........15% goes back to the

retailers & state run marketing and operations departments and............25% goes back to the state  for

government services>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>for you and the citizens of your state!

Only about 27 states earmark some or all lottery revenue for education:

(1) Colorado lottery dollars go to enviromental protection programs.

(2) Pennsylvania lottery dollars go to senior citizen programs.

(3) Kansas lottery dollars  use money for juvenile detention facilitiies.

(4) California lottery dollars spend about 1% revenue on K-12 programs.

Many states bought into the Lottery all based on the idea they were adding MORE MONEY for education.

WHERE DO U WANT UR MONEY 2 GO after YOU PAY 4UR TICKET expecting 2BA WINNER 2 Puke

It will not happen until the entire public school systems gets overhauled. I would like to see the money go towards charter schools as I know the kids there will benefit.

Chances are the kids in you neighborhood will never be any smarter until their parents expect them to be.  Too many parents and kids think them being smarter is some one else responsibility.

          Pretty much sums it up.

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

They should put it into thumb joint replacement technology and new arthritis modalities.

Cuz every kid I see is gonna need new thumb joints in a few years and something to straighten out their neck vertebra.

And you all know what I'm talkin' about, don'tcha?

I'm sure the lottery money goes into the education fund in those states that have it set up for that, but then they put less in from taxes. So the extra money from the lottery isnt really giving the education funds a boost at all. Government waste is the problem but americans are too lazy to boot out the idiots that are responsible for it.

Of the choices I voted for Vo Tech. enough kids are being pumped out of universities up to their eyeballs in debt because of student loans and with degrees that don't get them jobs.

Sadly, as far as education support from the lotteries, many states practive voodoo accounting and just run the lottery money through the education systems to make it appear to have gone for education. It's not the lotteries doing that though, it's the state governments.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                    Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
