I think anyone who plays the lottery sees themself winning the jackpot. There may be a small handful who just play for the smaller, but still large, amounts, but almost all believe they can win the jackpot.

Personally, yes, I see myself winning at some point.

Yes you're right, the Architect was not Deus ex Machina.

As for Inception , I think Cobb was in Reality. Don't you think so? But maybe the point of the ambiguous ending was to impress upon us that Cobb chose the circumstance where he could be the happiest with the love of his children. Essentially, he chose his own reality. Like we all do in every moment.

l like your take on the ending- l on the other hand do not think that the Architect was the Dues ex Machina, since he did tell Neo that they would not be meeting again. l agree with everything else you posted.

The ending could also be asked of Inception - was Cobb still in a dream or was it reality

I think that statement is true for alot of people. How many people play the lottery a year? How many people win the jackpot in a year? It does not add up for everyone to win the jackpot in their life time. But some will win.

Not interested in your finance, just trying to see the logic of you making the assertion that you second the statement YOU WILL NEVER WIN A LOTTERY JACKPOT IN YOUR LIFETIME when that statement is not true.

if you talk to a million people playing a lottery game with odds of 1:1,000,000, if all person bought one of the tickets, you would be right on 999,999 but u would be wrong on 1. So your statement is not totally true.

What people spend on the lottery is their business. People play for different reasons and in different amounts. Some know how to control themselves and have a fixed lottery entertainment budget. Others, as you can see in other threads...not so much.

It is totally possible to win... applying a few techniques, for eample, playing in a pool with just one person doubles your chances of winning, playing with 9 other people, your odds are now 10 times as good. Its time people realize that playing together will better your odds at winning, I myself dont have a problem with playing with others.

And why play the Powerball or Maga MIllions, not even play the regular lottery, their odds are just too high to win.Try play games with better odds like

I gamble. If I go to a casino, I go to win. If I have a good time in between, then great. If I'm not winning, I am not having a good time. I'm pretty sure most anyone who goes feels the same way (based on elevator conversations with losers). Who goes just for the action? Maybe you.
