In the US the odds of winning a jackpot in a 6/49 game are 1 : 13,983,816. The units might be different but the math is the same.

It's no secret MM and PB are rigged by the powers-that-be so that NY and CA have a lion's share of the jackpot winners. Do the math. Look at history. And don't give me the bigger population excuse. The population difference is not as great as the ratio of winners' in NY/CA to other states.

Haha, regional dialects in Germany are there own beast, it's not just a drawl or a twang it's like a completely different language and it's always fun when you are somewhere and they talk in a completely different way and you have to translate it in your head.

I lived in Germany in the 1970s, in Hessen. I was stationed in Friedberg and lived in Bad Nauheim.

A neighbor was the weatherman on the local TV station and hit the Hessen lotto. He didn't seem to get pestered like many stories here on LP about winners.

This will sound silly but I learned to count in German by watching the drawings on Saturday nights. Of course, it was Hessen German, so zwanzish instead of zwanzig, etc....

The odds of a 6/49 game in the US are the same and so are the jackpots but payouts will never be larger than sales can generate regardless of what players want. Canada has a 6/49 game with bigger jackpots but it's ticket prices are higher. Most those doing the complaining in the US don't even play.

I'm specifically talking about people from the US complaining that they would rather see more people win life-changing jackpot amounts more often than see one or two winners win 300mil$.

I can see both variants as attractive, but the reasoning given by the lc is always that people just don't want that , but the success off scratchers in the US seems to me to be a perfect example of people wanting better chances of winning just a few millions.

Fix them? The solution is picking the right numbers- that's all. If players from other States pick wrong numbers, how is that NY's fault?

I think there should be different games.

2$ for huge jackpots with impossible odds like MM or PB.

2-4$ games with odds of 1:50 000 000 with 10 set jackpots at 5 mil $ or so, with guaranteed winners each drawing, th computer eliminates combos that have already been entered.

Lots of people say they want a game like this and the comissions never listen.
