I'm specifically talking about people from the US complaining that they would rather see more people win life-changing jackpot amounts more often than see one or two winners win 300mil$.
I can see both variants as attractive, but the reasoning given by the lc is always that "people just don't want that", but the success off scratchers in the US seems to me to be a perfect example of people wanting better chances of winning just a few millions.
BTW in Germany the odds are horrible the 6/49 has odds of 1: 140 000 000, and it's usually just somewhere between 3 and 20 mil €.
Then you've got Spiel77 which is 1 mil € at a price of 2,50€. odds of 1: 10 000 000.
"BTW in Germany the odds are horrible the 6/49 has odds of 1: 140 000 000"
That's why 'm so glad we won the war. I'd just hate it if math in the US worked the same way it does in Germany.

It's no secret MM and PB are rigged by the powers-that-be so that NY and CA have a lion's share of the jackpot winners. Do the math. Look at history. And don't give me the "bigger population" excuse. The population difference is not as great as the ratio of winners' in NY/CA to other states.
I stopped playing the jackpot games a year ago and only play scratch-offs. I've won $450 since, and haven't thrown any money away on these rigged jackpot games.
Someday, a person with more time and money than I have will take legal action against this illegal scam and win. Then NY and CA will have to break off into their own jackpot game, and the rest of the states will get their own. That's the only way this stops.
Meanwhile, you non-NY and non-CA players can keep throwing your money away on something that you have NO CHANCE of winning.
Well Louie, since the lotteries are "rigged" for those 2 states only. Here's how you can be assured of having a REAL shot at winning. Have an associate purchase you advance draw tickets in both states. Only cost you $104 for PB and $52 for MM, totaling $156 for the year. Don't worry about the little jackpots, wait til they get up to 100 million annuity range, you know, in case you have to split it with a winner from one of the non rigged states......OH CRAP, I just thought of something...What if you had to split it with yourself ???
I went back and looked at the CA/NY "lions share" that you talk about.....over the last 365 days on the PB....Missouri has had twice as many winners as NY and the same as CA....then I took a gander at the MM winners and CA/NY did good, they had 3(NY) & 2(CA) supporting you statement...Then in 2013(MM) New York failed to produce anything and CA had only one...ONE...Heck, NJ & MD & MI produced TWICE as many winners individually as to that "rigged state" of CA. did in 2013(scratching head)..How could that be ??? The rigged lottery states of CA/NY got ONE winner combined for ALL OF 2013 !!!!!!
.. Now the dilemma.... is 2015(MM) going to follow 2013 or 2014 for those 2 states ??? Will Missouri produce as many winners as CA(twice as many as NY) again ? <shoulder shrug> WHO KNOWS ???
