I see your point. If your buyer spends 9-10 hours a month just buying,scanning and emailing then trying to follow a strategy would make playing the lottery for you guys a full time job and guessing your time don't come cheap. Butler services that do the same thing figure their services are worth an extra $2 per line.

Our buyer spends about 9-10 hours a month, Buying-Scanning Emailing, etc... If its our time, then so be it.

We all live financially comfortable lives, to win this would just be Icing on the Cake...

One of the reasons why I started this group, was to see how people would react to winning a Lotto.

Lottery strategies require someone pay attention to what's hitting and chart results to be used in picking the next bunch of combinations to be played. That means someone in the group has to do a lot more work than anyone else in the group and be willing to take the blame for all their loses. As far as the group is concerned it s neither Good nor Bad money. Just disposable cash they don t really need.

Since most of the members make very good Salary s they don t really care.

The agreement was to play the Mega or Power and if the tab goes over $100 grand then we can re-evaluate.

I m sure most of them don t even look at the tickets that are sent via Email.

Our ticket master makes the buys 8 times a month, then scans them all before the next rotation.

Did you even CONSIDER trying to figure out some sort of strategy, for the games you play ??? If NO STRATEGY is NOT working, why wouldn't you try to use a different approach, and CREATE a STRATEGY ??? Of course they were usually right. A quick search reveals that there are at least 42 Pick3 drawings across the country each day. If you publish a list of 20 sets of numbers, there's a better than 57% chance that at least one of them will come up in one of those drawings.

Last 1279 draws

06-22-44 9 hits

02-24-29 28-29-49 7 hits

There were 19 that hit 6 times.

I checked the top three played with the no duplicates among the 19 for the last 100 draws.

While I don't see 30-31-39 or 05-13-20 among them, I do see where 28-29-49 + 30-38-46

would have won a 5# prize. It may have not fallen within the five sets your budget allows

Never said winning a jackpot was easy, the odds never change, the path can in ways some may find easier then another path. Like all the ways to cook an egg, in the end you have a cooked egg, some paths may be easier, some with more work involved may or may not end in a tastier egg, it's all relative.

You can not apply the scientific method to lottery prediction because the answer is always different.

I find it hard to understand your thinking. The wheel is an absolute get three right twice and you win a jackpot can not be disputed. Getting 3's is the problem not the wheel itself.

If winning jackpots that way was absolute someone smarter than me would be winning them regularly. My thinking is based on computer simulations I've ran. I'm not a programmer but I'm fairly sure losing isn't a problem that can be fixed by one.

i use covermaster to generate a 2/6 or 2/7 wheel with all numbers from 45 or 40 . to get my all numbers in 8 tickets. ea pool has 4 tickets, but after a 30M jackpot is reached they play the other 4. and ea pool then gets 8 tickets. making the total 24 tickets for all pools on ozlotto and power ball , here in aust.

Im happy for the discount while casing a big win.

i tracked a year of playing my wheel of every number, thats basically having every horse in the race on 1 ticket some where. For the year 2014 i returned %32 . thats with a few pools, combing all their picks, with ones i was free to choose the numbers on. and getting the basic coverage i wanted. so min i can say im getting a 1/3 return or 1/3 reduction in prices.

Checked your suggestion with Ohio's Classic Lotto(6/49) which as of 3/25/15 had 1280 drawings. So far they had produced 13,780 combinations of threes of a possible 18,424 which had hit 1-9 times.

Using the top five combinations of threes that had no duplicates:

06 22 44 = 9 times

30 31 39 = 8

07 25 28 = 7

10 12 29 = 7

05 13 20 = 6

I check the group of 15 numbers: 05 06 07 10 12 13 20 22 25 28 29 30 31 39 44

As a group they had only matched six one time and five thirteen... [ More ]

You're in luck RJOh, it's scalable. For $10 = ten lines/tickets you can have five sets of three numbers played against each other in ten lines. Simply swap your best picks you hope will be drawn together as three number sets for my place holder numbers.

Besides covering all the Mega numbers I assume there being 27, there's really no strategy.

Our ticket guy (Ret Military 25 years) buys all quick picks, besides the Static 27 Numbers then sends the tickets to us once a week.

Im sure most of our players don't even check these tickets until, its over $300 million.

The problem is targeting 3 and 4 number prizes hoping to win a jackpot.

Taking a Jackpot Shot is different from wheeling where we weave a net of numbers to capture three or four number prizes hoping to get lucky by the wheel winning above its guarantee.

The odds calculator that I wrote and have been testing suggest trying that with Ohio's Classic Lotto(6/49) I would only get 10% of my money back with 19 wins, one 4of6 paying $70 and 18 3of6 paying $2 each.

They made that change because so many people were playing all even or all odd, or the first 12 numbers or last 12 numbers. Which I used to do before the change. Now I don't play sets like that. And the only way there will be more than 20 jackpot winners is if one of those sets of numbers are drawn. About a year ago 11 out 12 numbers were all even. There were over 200 some $500 winners. Well, I only play one line, rarely multiple lines because of the cost. If I do play more than one line, it is with the same numbers twice to try for $500,000. So it's not unusual for me to go 3 or 4 days or more sometimes and not even get my $2 back.

Proof the lottery understands how wheeling works.

The trick is to create a paradigm shift by switching to a Pick-6 game and walking around general strategy and wheeling of the usual types.

Our strategy is quite simple

Wire the $$$ to our ticket master, he then buys the quick picks, scans them every week, then sends them via email to the distribution list.

At the end of the month, they are scanned for any wins. The extra money goes into a slush fund for future ticks.

Bottom line is no drama and no issues, pretty much all automated.

The closest we ever got was 4 numbers, not very good odds. Every tick has been saved in old shoe boxes.

Our ticket man always buys from the same 7-11 up in Northern Ca. I think the most we ever bought at 1 time was $1100.

The guy at the counter was shaking his head, because the machine took about 10 minutes to print them all out.

At one time we were up to 15 people, each person dropping $200 per month, but we lowered it down to $100 per person.

We are fairly steady with the same 7-8

Having spent that much you must have had some decent wins or some almost won stories to brag about. I was in a work pool of 10 for the last three years before I retired and we put in $4 per wk for two drawings of Ohio Super Lotto and matched 5of6 three times for $1500 and miss winning the jackpot all those times by one number.

I started a lotto group in Cali back in the middle of 2011 and now we have just passed the $60 Thousand mark in total tickets purchased.

I never thought the group would last this long. snip , maybe 1 year and maybe it was a done deal.

There are only 8 of us and I assume we will eventually pass the $100K point in 3-4 more years.

I was running some numbers and if 1 person spent $100 month = $1200 per year X 50 years straight, its about the same amount that we have spent; crazy ass snip ha... [ More ]
