RJOh, you are probably correct in that statement. RNG (Really Not Good)is not what I would call independent of human involvement. My wondering behind this is how long it would take before the jackpots got to a point that folks would say, Ok now I will play ......... Let the ping pong balls bounce

it means a computer selected numbers over the popcorn ball stype drawings. When I was a wee lass, the ohio lottery had a snow at 7:30 on sat evenings where they did all the pingpong ball drawings. Was a lot of fun seeing which balls would make it into the tube.

PB and MM have evolved to attract the most players, changing to a RNG would probably attract fewer players until the jackpots were really large.
