According lottoreport almost 50M for the $301M drawing, that's about 29% of the possible combinations.

Since that was for a $300M+ jackpot, it was probably double the normal amount.

I don't know how many tics were sold for PB, but for our lotto, it came out to about 6% of the total combinations sold. That's really not enough tics sold to worry too much about duplicates.

Then again, for PB, there are a lot more combinations, so I imagine there weren't more than 10% of the total combinations sold.

I believe hundreds, maybe even thousands of duplicate combinations were sold for the Sept 16 drawing.

This means, in my opinion, that the percentage of total possible combinations sold per drawing can't be known, and was a lot less than 5%.

I think this is probably the reason why the jackpot isn't be won as often as we think it should be.

QP may be the most popular of systems and it seems to work often. I was just looking at the press conference of the last PB winner from Michigan and she said she stopped and bought 20 EP (QP are EP in Michigan) on her way to work.

Since she was the only one to have that combination, there goes that theory about terminals normally print duplicates of the same combinations.

With 25,827,165 possible combinations then one would expect one winning ticket to be sold no more than once per 25,827,165 lines sold even if little or no duplicates were sold which would mean one would expect a winner no more than once every 20 or more drawings.

That also means anyone with a system have plenty of time and opportunities to try and see if it can pick a winner or even come close.

Ohio's Classic Lotto(6/49) which starts at $1M and increases $100K or more after every drawing until it's won went almost three years without a win to over $70M before it was won and was hit again two drawings later at $1.2M. When lotteries sell less than 5% of their possible combinations every drawing anything can happen.

One of the danger of posting predictions if you're using a system is revealing that your system isn't any better at picking combinations than a QP generator.

That's probably why you seldom see predictions posted on the board by those members claiming their system works.

Yeah, I read Dawn's website every now and then. She has some interesting things to say, but she basically has a burr up her hiney for TLC.

As far as the TLC holding back a winning jackpot because of some shortage.....sorry, I just don't subscribe to conspiracy theories about that stuff.

September 15, roll sales were $19,712,197.

Total in roll sales is $48,708, 171.

Surplus of $342,183.

Yes, true. But, did you see where TL is short about $159,000 for a CVO payout for this game? Can you believe that? Winner will get a little over 40% of Jackpot. Group 120 is the Group # that I, me assigned to 4668. It has no significance what so ever. When I assign Group numbers I start with the number 1 then 2 then 3 etc etc etc.. Another thing which is nice about my file is that you can key in your favorite number in the Enter Number = area. Do the sort as describe above find out if you had any hits since they went to the 4 draws a day. I know that there are 10,000 possible combinations and that there only have been 2496 drawings so far. That's why I prefer to play a mult-state game like MM, it has the eyes of 44 states watching it so any turn about in its operation is going to get noticed by someone who matters. Besides updating a data file twice a week is a lot easier than updating daily sometimes twice or more.

I've done more than just thought about what I've come up with, I've checked previous drawings to see if it was unique. For example I checked the last 195 MM drawings since its last matrix change and found a combination pattern had occurred 25 times or 10% of the drawings but just haven't found a way to take advantage of it playing only 10 lines per drawing. It could be improving your odds doesn't count for much if you're only playing a few lines.

to OP. ever thought of what you came up with might just be a random thing and not consistent? Remember, the game works as good as the house sets it out to be. No one knows exactly for sure how each state plans strategies for the games. The daily games systems get change a couple days a week, from pattern checking you can check.

Believe it or not, I was once ahead after I matched 5of6 in the local lottery. Thought it was my system and I might even eventually win a jackpot but now after chasing the jackpot I'm not ahead anymore and I know I just got lucky. The only way I'll ever be ahead again is to get lucky and win a jackpot.

It all depends on what game you're playing. On the daily games, it depends on the strategy you are using. Some strategies require changing #'s each draw, whereas if you are following a particular pattern you may keep the #'s in for a few days. Learning the tendencies of your particular state will go a long way in determining which one you use and when.

Thanks RJ, I have always wondered and considered meeting with local folks that have more or less unlimited funds to see if they would be interested in investing. There have been times that if I would have just spent another $30 i would of had 5/5 on the Mega and PB. Regardless what others say I budget myself every week when I play. I can honestly say I am ahead and hardly lose on a weekly basis. That being said it may only cover the cost of y tickets or a few bucks more. Other weeks much better

If you have a winning system that takes a bankroll to play why not share it and the strategy behind it, maybe a group of LP investors will use it. There are some Steve Player fans among the members and all his systems are expensive and take a bankroll to play. I've always thought a winning system pays for itself.

When you are a good player, you need a bankroll to play. I can play, but don't have the bankroll for it. Money rather goes to espressos and where it should be spent.

Talking of development, few people come with clear ideas of what they want. That is why they get nothing done. Others just puzzle you. I have my tools, my ideas and I like some spontaneous picking once in a while, just like at roulette. That can create nice wins, and is intuitively mostly correct.

The first post is too long to read for me, I like it short, direct and compact.

Facts are playing the lotteries is gambling and if you don't want to chance losing a lot of money then you shouldn't play or just play a line or two and hope to get lucky. If you don't want to spend a lot time reading and doing research then developing a system isn't for you. It's a personal choice that only you can make, it doesn't matter what others are doing or thinking.

You can open a thread for this. The wins are what they pay, at pick 3 just the half of would it could pay. Sticking to the subject, dictation by law of averages, or big numbers if you want, you are trying to beat the wheel, talking roulette. Only, the set limits don't really work, and if you raise the bet and don't win in the end or meet a betting limit, you lost money. I've done a lot of back testing here in Texas and can not find consistency between the draws. For example this past Thursday and Friday none of them worked out providing the winning numbers (I tested Eve and night)

have you found anything concrete with your system? It's always easy to find the numbers AFTER the draw and work out any system at that point Def not flaming you. Wanting to learn......

Never start programming when the instructions read on EVEN numbered days use the ALT-numbers and the example is an even numbered day and the OP doesn't use the ALT-numbers. You never get anywhere that way.

I saved what I had as a work in progress hoping we'd get more info.

I think we concluded that butch from Elgin doesn't know anything about it. He was just hijacking the thread. Been simpler if he had said, No. I don't know anything about this system.

Tried knocking this little ditty out so we could all have the next 1000 draws won before those tricky lottery people knew what hit'em, but the little nuances need to be clarified before it becomes useful.

I'm having doubts this isn't cobbled together too look like it works. Either that or there is a LOT more we haven't seen.

Start with:

...on EVEN days you start by getting the Draw number adjusted by changing any number to their alt-value

start date was 8-12 (is this not an even day)?

....always add AND subtract each outside number with the two inside numbers

in 6129 the outside 9 added to 12 = 21, so what's the deal with going to the alt-numbe... [ More ]

See my Post on 7/20/2015 under Pick 4 Forum - IL Pick 4 - Interesting facts for 2015. Original time frame covered (01/01/2015 thru midday 07/20/15).

Bottom line is that @ the time of the original post 18 Groups had boxed 3 sets of numbers in each group for a total of 54 drawings out of the total 401 drawings or 13.47%. Also, I had 71 Groups had 2 sets of numbers in each group for a total of 142 drawings out of the total 401 drawings or 35.41% That means 48.88% of the total drawings have boxed... [ More ]

After all, a broken clock gives correct time twice a day.

I hope you're right because I feel I'm on the edge of a break through and since I play jackpot games, I only have to be right once.

Pardon me, but anyone who actually watches a Daily 4 drawing has to know that the winning numbers are determined by chance.

The balls nearest the escape hatches when the gates are opened are the winners, not inventory/processing numbers printed on a ticket by a lottery terminal.

Give me a break, please!!

It's amazing how some folks can use mathematical wizardry to generate a set of numbers for any game.

If it works, you can plan your plays as far ahead as you like.

Want to know the winning four digits for draw 7354? Just do the math BOOM! There it is.

Have to use alt-numbers/mirrors on numbers like 0001, 7000, any number that include 00 as the inside pair.
