I would stay right here. No desire to travel overseas, I've been to Germany and Austria and

they are beautiful countries but felt much more comfortable here in the US. There are many

places here to see. Choosing a place to move to out of the way would be great fun considering

it can be almost anywhere or even multiple places with that kind of money.

I've lived in NC for over 30 years, and wouldn't move out of state if I won the PB or MM. However, I would move out of my current home. Like you mentioned, I'd have a home in the mountains and one on a quiet beach, but nothing too large or lavish.

Well, Western USA (california) is where I was born and raised and I spent most of my life on the western coast. I spent many years in Hawaii and is where I want to be and when I win the lottery, is exactly where I will go. Probably staying put. I would only relocate to another state that has no state income tax. Not moving out of the country, spending my money in the USA. There are enough places to visit and enjoy,especially in a RV.

You could have a place in the mountains and a house on the beach! I lived in NC for 10 years and have two sisters who still do. One lives on the se coast in a coastal town very near the big lottery winner. My other sister divides her time between Pinehurst, NC and Naples, Fl.

What is so good about Western US? I am afraid my only experiences in Western US are LAX Airport and a trip to the Grand Canyon. I have always wanted to see Seattle and San Francisco! I Will definitely move, where I'm not sure but I do know it will be somewhere that doesn't have as high cost of living.

I would also want to move somewhere that I can have lots of land, at least 5 acres.

I'm not so sure that Candy-Lane meant you have to move as if it's required, but more from the threads here about what to do if you win.......

Change your phone # or get a throw away cell phone, get a P.O. box, leave town for a while, etc...

I would not move to another state. I'm a foodie and would travel domestically, maybe the Caribbean, to indulge. Would try to visit all the states I haven't been to yet. I don't trust foreign travel right now--too much turmoil. I would be a boring winner, wouldn't I

For me, will rent a suite in a very nice hotel for a couple months until the publicity dies down. Would be moving to a new home anyway. Whether to cross the state border or not will depend on finding my dream location! There are certain requirements needed. Might travel a little bit to see all the national parks. But most travel will be in the state that I will reside in, mostly from home to town and back. .... Dont really care to travel but will geocache

I'd definitely travel for a while. I'd love to buy a motor home or travel trailer and travel the US and Canada for a year or so.

I have a feeling I'd end up living in my state but in a different town in the mountains in the summer, and have a home in Arizona or Nevada for the winter. Unless I found better options in my travels. I spend a lot of time outside and don't like humidity, extreme heat, or extreme cold, so that limits my choices for sure.

I don't think that there is a rule that one must move out of their state. I have no plans to move when I win the lottery. I do enjoy traveling especially in Europe so travel will be in my plans. But as we already have our business here it makes no sense to pack up to live somewhere else.

Absolutely I would move and move out of this state. Move some where there is no freezing temps, ice and snow. It would still be on the left (west) coast. The only reason to visit the other left coast (east) is family, no desire to move or live there. Same with the midwest, visit only. Move abroad? Nah, visit only, as bad as America is getting, there is no place like home in the Good Ole U.S.A.

Everyone says that you when you win the Powerball/MegaMillion Jackpot, you have to move. I understand why and, if I win, I plan to move to another state within the US.
