Yeah, but teams can be fined for not reporting even minor injuries to the league office. Back in '94, the Cowboys got fined 10 grand for not reporting Aikman's thumb injury and after that, the team listed every bump and bruise to every player until I think the NFL told them to cut it out. Dallas was also investigated last year after Romo let slip he had played in several games with a rib injury.

That's correct. From a parameter/population where 10,000 men were to be chosen at random, 14 of them will not go past their 30's. And If I forgot to mention any other, that is, I am referring to data that occurs on a Daily basis.

And although, eventually 100% of humanity will die, at least as of Today, it still hasn't occurred or not quite in that mass quantity as you made it seem like.

I think you've phrased that incorrectly, or left something out. Would it be that only 99.86% of men will survive to/past the age of 30?

A few years ago, I bought several gaming books at a yard sale and it's amazing how many of those same stories I see posted on LP. I never heard the Faro story before, but maybe that's because there is probably nobody alive that played casino Faro.

Only because I thought you understood the fact when a game pays off 50% of the wagers in prizes, players share 50% of the prizes. The PA pick-3 game had $310 million in wagers in the last fiscal year meaning they paid out about $155 million in prizes. And the last time I looked $155 million is lots of winners.

The only time I'm ever embarrassed concerning the lottery is when I hand my play slip to the clerk and she tries to run it but I've forgotten to check/fill in the bonus ball number or failed to select either the annuity or CV option....and I'm not all that embarrassed.

The only time I felt like a loser in the lotto was when I spent $400 to win $100 on powerball because I did not powerplay the tickets that I bought. It was the night jack whitaker won $314.9 million big ones. I was last Thursday, when other people won off a number I kept saying was coming in.

705,,, I been playing it all year, and Monday, had $5.00 on it. Wednesday night had $20 on it. It hit Thursday, and I had, 507 straight, didn't get jack.

I can't even explain why I played it straight, I guess I was just tired of the chase, and just marked, straight.

I hate it when I am talking to someone and they ask what I have been up to. I am an honest person so I tell them I have been really tracking the trends on the lottery.

Every time it is the same reaction. The burst of laughter from the person I am talking to, followed a few seconds later by the OMG you were serious look. It just gets really awkward after that.

Why would I be embarrassed about buying a few lottery tickets and not winning a jackpot? For the local 6/49 game the odds of winning a jackpot are 1:14M and although I've matched 5of6 twice for $1500 in the last few years, after paying taxes those wins only covered about half of what I spent on tickets those years. I know if I ever do win a jackpot, it will be a lot more than I ever spent or ever plan to spend on tickets.

If you're like me have played for quite a few years, played hard, and even played trends, do you find it embarrassing that you haven't won yet? Given the fact that there are such a large number of winners, and given the fact that it's way too easy for them, I do feel embarrassed.

One day that will change however then I can feel proud as if all my time effort was worthwhile. I will then openly proclaim myself to be the only winner that had a HARD time winning.
