Not that I think you'll make a rational decision about it, of course, but the most likely result, by a significant margin, of playing all 15 mega balls is that you'll lose much more than if you buy just 1 or 2 tickets. That means that doing it would be really stupid unless you've got more money than you need.

The lottery keeps 50% off the top and almost 38% goes to the top 2 prizes, paying out only 12 cents of every dollar for prizes with odd better than 1 in 750,000.

You might be right about repeating numbers on those 15 tickets. The only good thing about using all of the 75 numbers is getting at least a 1 to 1 for 8 dollars if just a 2x hits but would still be down 22 dollars since I always spend the extra dollar for the multiplier and total costs of those 15 tix would be 30 dollars.

I have no software program to use and don't even have a working computer. Do you mean the Lucky For Life Game or is there a Luck for Life game too? I like playing the Lucky for Life game because if you get 2 numbers you win 3 dollars and have gotten 2 numbers at times. I do not like Mass Cash, even though you only have 5 numbers out of 35 numbers to win a 100k prize you have to get at least 3 numbers to win a prize which is 10 dollars and have only gotten 3 numbers once (though ticket price is j... [ More ]

Sorry your brother hasn't had luck playing this way. With the matrix having 75 numbers it seems like an impossibility to get 5 numbers correct no matter how one plays. In terms of frequent numbers I tend to play quick picks but would not be using QP's if I play 15 lines.

Thanks for your response. Since I always play the extra dollar for the multiplier I would most like lose 22 dollars if I just got the Megaball correct and it was 2x. I haven't done this yet but really want to try it. Totally understand about eating into your budget if you played this way regularly. After doing this, will most likely just go back to my normal, not often playing of the MM unless jackpot is very high.

I've played 15 lines like this a few times this year but, because I like to play the other games that really eats into my playing budget, and the odds are really not in our favor. If you play MM only, it's not a bad way to go.

Staying on budget I find I do better if I decide which game I prefer to play based on odds and jackpot size and concentrate on it rather than trying to cover all the games.

I put together 2 sets of numbers playing all 75 numbers and all 15 megaballs for a total of 30 lines. This entire year the best those sets have done is 2+1.

The good thing is that you know you have the numbers that will be drawn. And you know you will win at least a dollar. The bad thing is that you will usually lose 14 dollars, and it is still very difficult to capture even the first 5 numbers on the same line.

I've played 15 lines like this a few times this year but, because I like to pl... [ More ]

I am thinking of playing 15 lines of MM with the multiplier which would cost 30 dollars. Here is my question: since there are 75 numbers to play and 15 Megaball numbers I could just capture all 75 numbers and all 15 Megaball numbers on the 15 tickets and the minimum prize I can win would be 2 dollars if the Megaplier was just 2x and I only had the Megaball number correct. On the other hand I could mix up those 75 numbers across those 15 tickets with duplicate numbers on different lines and could... [ More ]
