To answer the thread's title, while it may not be the only key, I do think that Mirrors are one of the 3 keys to the Pick 3. If one assumes that All Things have some quality of roundness in them, either in form(space) or function(time), then we can assume that the Pick 3 has a circular shape and it moves in a circular fashion. I think mirrors are integral to this circularity. I super-actively make use of them in my workouts. They even guide me in the end as I make my picks for I'll choose one or... [ More ]

I probably wouldn't play this method for a 3rd repeat in a row, although it does happen from time to time.

Actually, I use base 5 (aka Mirror numbers ) instead of real Vtracs, but the principles are the same and they are easier to calculate. I just have to remember to flip Even and Odd when BA posts about Vtracs!

Anyway, one interesting aspect of the Vtrac/Mirror system is that a pair will repeat about 1/3 of the time. After a Double you get a pair repeat about 22% of the time, but after an unmatched combination you will get a pair repeat almost 50% of the time.

For example:

These are from O... [ More ]
