There are 220 Box numbers, but not really as 10 of them are both straight and any-order they are 000 111 222 333 444 555 666 777 888 999

The pick 3 game is a straight numbers game, the box or any order stuff is artificial, there are 1000 pick 3 numbers and they always come out straight.

Anyhow, Do each of the 220 box numbers have the same chance to come out? No.

A lottery ticket is to be kept safe and secret.

There is no dry swimming.

With the years jackpot games became more sadistic. The gold coins heated in pans got bigger and hotter.

Personally I don't care about 'the odds'. A win is a win whether I use a system or get lucky and I'll take either one if it means I win the jackpot or any other substantial amount of money that will make it possible for me to leave my job for good.

No, you did not waste your time. You were a pioneer in filtering and what you posted at the time is just as relevant today as it was then. Any one here today would be wise to check out your earlier posts under your other names. Do I still play the lottery?

In all the many years that the lottery has been here on Tx, I have almost never played it.

I some-times buy one quick pick for the Tx2Step.

But as I said, not very often at all.

Very long ago here at the lottery post, for a few years I made some pick 3 predictions and mostly box (any-order).

But I never played any of them.

I only wasted my time on the lottery (pick 3 mostly) to kill some time off, for the challenge and the fun of it, but mostly for

I almost never made predictions for jackpot kinds of games for several reasons:

You share jackpot prizes among all who win them and the same for some lower prizes.

I never got the software that I needed as I needed it so I could make predictions for those games.

Those games have way too many combinations and too much money is needed to buy tickets for predictions made for them.

You can't win them with only one or a few predicted numbers, that is why people win them only by lucky chan... [ More ]

If you do your thing right, you won't have to worry so much about lottery odds.

But odds are the reason you won't do your thing right enough times to show a profit. Odds can be used to determine what a player can reasonably win and as we just witnessed, 440 million tickets sold for one drawing weren't enough to produce a jackpot winner. In most jackpot games the odds of winning $100 are much higher than winning $500 playing pick-3.

Let me summarize how proving you are better than random chance does NOT work. It does NOT work by posting dozens of numbers for a single pick.

It particularly doesn't work by giving multiple sets of numbers and saying you might use this one or that one and in fact many of those sets did not have a winner.

Measuring whether you are better than random chance requires:

1) A definite bet, here are the numbers, here is the wager

2) Over a number of draws such that your total number of wag... [ More ]

Past winning draws don't tell lies, what you see is what it is.

Assuming they are reported correctly, they are facts and not lies. But they don't predict the future.

The lottery behaves as you see on the past draws, they guide you.

Indeed they do, past draws are random and not predicted by further in the past drawings and so are future drawings random and unaffected by the past.

Odds, chances ... play?

Your odds are pretty simple for pick 3. 1000 combinations to win and the payout is 500 for straight. Playing 999/1000 combinations, you still can lose the bet.
