The other day 111 was drawn in KY and paid $1,189,200; the online payoff would be $2,140,560 based on the same number of wagers.

its nice that stuff repeats. Its predicting when it will repeat that isn't possible in any greater extent than the odds.

If you jump when it repeats, aren't you already too late? You would need to jump before it repeats.

Right I would agree with some of that. I think the issue dibs was looking at was in regards to point 5 of yours. Looking for patterns that repeat assumes the draws are not random. Random draws do not make predictable patterns.

If you are convinced the draws are not random, then breaking the code gets your rich. telling anyone else about it gets the code changed and you have to start all over. My concern with the effort is that if there is a code, I would expect it to be so complicated that it... [ More ]

My 2 cents worth

1 - losing comes with playing, its part of any system.

2 - Money management 80 for box win, you have 80 draws. A win before 80 draws is good.

3 - I think people here track many of the same filters

4 - how you did you get numbers for the current draw

Even/Odd filter, total filter, No Carryover, Carryover etc.

5 - Tracking and watching for patterns that repeat

The prevailing thought is ' back-testing ' on prior data, the hint of 'forward testing' get a push back like crazy!

I don't subscribe to prediction based on historical data if the premise of the game is RANDOM. I suggest you read 'Super Crunches' by IAN AYERS for ideal on forward-testing by just simulation(you need a concept for the simulation).

Those are my Prediction Results for the Pick-3 games posted here on the Lottery Post.

As you well can see from the stats, overall in the long run I am at about average (Fifty Per Cent), now the trick is to make 'Dat Money while you are ahead of the game. Sort of playing with the houses money to make money.

Hmmm.. I don't think everyone here agrees. Many people seem to be spending hours upon hours working systems to beat pick 3. They wouldn't be doing that if they agreed.

The problem as I see it is all of the systems that are based on prior draws are only valid if the future draws are not actually random. If the draws are random, then looking at past draws does not offer any help in determining future draws. If the draws are not random, either intentionally or by accident, then there could be a... After all these many years, and thousands of post on thousands of Systems, we got nothing!

Nothing here has even gotten close to breakeven, the only thing we can hope for is some sort of game changes in ODDS or bigger pay outs.

It is disappointing that no one even hinted at a break even System.

Most of what came out was Negative Expectation conversation.

Everyone has heard the story about Bumble Bees not being able to to fly either, at least according to the laws of aerodynamics.

Frankly, while the daily games do well in most states, it's scratchoffs that states really clean up on. In my state, scratchoffs outsell every other game offered. I imagine it's the same in the other states as well.

Just some new form of good old Greed usually works! Maybe a particular state attempting to increase their own sales, and experimenting around with different rules and payouts will start it by accident.

A financially strapped State desperately attempting to save their lottery and increase ticket sales.

Interesting concept of States competing with each other.......

Why? No need to. Why compete with each other? If one state were to offer a better payout, would only increase sales for a short period. It would come from persons willing to travel to there from elsewhere for however how long it takes them to figure the odds didn't change. No state allows sales of its tickets outside its own state.

I play using probabilty.

Knowing that the game will either draw..

2even 1odd, 2odd 1even, 2high 1low or 2low 1high.

Also knowing that there are only 10 digits to chose from

and that all the digits will cycle within a certain time period.

Gives me the opportunity to pick winners the majority of the time.

Example:If you flip a coin 7x's and each time it landed on tails.

What is the probability of the last 3 flips of that coin being heads?

Here is a Doubles System Strategy that Bobp wrote about. It's one of those serious systems that come along now and then.

Imagine this system if you could play it at .25 cents per ticket not .50.

Imagine payouts at almost double the current going rates using this method. It's gonna' happen soon. Lotteries: Designed or approved by politicians with the intent of generating revenue. There is no other purpose. How can you possibly win? Play less and the state finds other tax revenues. Case Win: 20 + 20 = 40

Play same ratio at pick 3

Play same chances: 487

Case Win: 500 - 487 = 3

If pick 3 paid the same, you would have 487 + 487 = around 974.

Play Megamillions same chances: ...

It's a negative expectation game, even if it had Roulette odds, your money (action) might last longer, but the state would still get it all eventually unless you managed to win big and walk away never to play again.

Systems are like that rocket ship in your avatar, looks like it's flying, but really hanging by a thread with sparklers up it's tail.

Thanks DC. For sure progressive wagering has to be at the top of most popular list. Still, it would be nice to see which method using averages would get us closest to a profit, or at least the most successful amount of wins or merely hits. Perhaps the most hits even without a profit.

Also, It is very strange how all of these State governments are the only institutions that allow they can cheat us with their obvious Price Fixing

Can't beat the State's cheap P3 odds but how close can we actually get using Math Averages as a System?

Of course, if we play Half the Boxes every draw we will win about 50% of the time +/-

If we were to play 25% of the boxes we would win around 25% of the time Plus/minus in the long run.

So here is the question.

Where is the sweet spot? What average amounts of numbers or wagers will get us the closest to a profit for now?
