This bill has not been passed but we feel that it should fly through and get approved and pass very soon we hope

Seriously, we need someone/some of us FL lottery players to make some noise about this! They can never claim the lottery has 100% integrity if random tickets are disappearing/being destroyed, with the possibility of them being jackpot tickets. Even if they came up with a polciy of scanning all the tickets in, and reissuing another jackpot ticket for any that were destroyed I'd be satisfied.

Way to go RGSE on your advocacy for improving the integrity of the NY Lotto

meant what would happen to those tickets now that bill has been passed, like is lottery gonna pick them up and distribute them to a different retailer

Shouldn't that read 10 2. The division shall not remove, confiscate or destroy any lottery

11 ticket from any licensed lottery sales agent prior to such game's expiration date

Seems to me if an unlicensed vendor was selling them then wouldn't they need to confiscate them

I started a crusade back in 2015 about scratch off's being destroyed from retailers who changed ownership, went out of business, was temp. suspended etc. These tickets would get destroyed and we never had the chance to buy them. I sent out over 1000 letters through the mail to ALL legislators state city and government.

I am happy to announce that someone listened and investigated and found out I was right.
