Consider all the jackpot fantasies in the News threads about huge jackpots, the cars, mansions, and bling that will be bought. And the UFOs, time machines, etc....

Maybe the predictions are similar because everyone is dancing to the same song, so to speak.

Trying a different tune could make a difference.

I can't speak to how others pick their numbers but when I look at the prediction results of other members for the same games, they aren't any better than mines. I do track Ohio's Rolling Cash5 and will play it occasionally when its jackpot exceeds $150K.

I separated my combined Tx Daily 4 workouts into 4 different workouts.

I decided to play Evening only using Day workout.

BAM - Had my first $100 win in a long time.

Hope the trend continues.

Something to consider.

1. Most folks who choose their own numbers, systems players, usually make choices by evaluating a game's entire history. The theory is that the more data we have the better our choices will be.

2. There are many LP postings suggesting that the next winning combination often include integers that were in the last winning combination.

3. I believe you have said the same thing when describing how you choose integers to play.

An analogy but a poor one at best. Try this on for size friendo.Millions of tickets for this recent PB jackpot were sold in CA, NY, NJ, FL- the so called can't lose States ..and get this. The winning ticket is bought in Little Hampshire. ( population 1.3 mil ) How about them apples?

The problem with PB I only had 85 drawings under the new matrix to look at, the #1 hadn't even come up yet. I've done a little better with the local Classic Lotto (6/49) game with almost 1500 drawings however when ever I get a chance to buy some lottery tickets for a half billion dollar jackpot I'm buying regardless. Besides a match3 in OCL only pays a couple of dollars.

This strategy is interesting RJOh and is in line with some observations i came across myself. I have just posted some information in the pick 5 forum regarding this. I dont play powerball because i like to think if I cant win the Fantasy 5 I surely will have a harder time winning bigger games.

As for position 1 though I would start from 1 to 9, because 1 hasnt played yet in this matrix, it is highly possible it will play in position 1, just the same for position 5 i would play numbers 40... [ More ]

This is a very interesting post and, most assuredly, God would have us all to be content in this regard. But, if I may, I'd like to point out where I feel God just might find a conflict of interest:

Doesn't make any sense to play at starting levels in either PB or MM. I will probably play in state games like cash for life during my travels to neighboring states. NC only offer lucky for life and while the tickets are $2 as well the odds are much worse so I avoid that game.

With all the low birthday numbers that came out, all my self picks got hung out to dry. Vacation break from playing the lottery since PB was won last night as it will most likely be October before any of the jackpot prizes look attractive again.

I would agree if the jackpot was less than $100M with those odds because there are other games with better odds for that amount that cost less to play. But for a half billion dollars those odds and that price is to be expected or it would have been won already.

Most of the time, I buy quick-pick, but when I do pick my own numbers, I scan the numbers until one pops out at me. Usually I try not to have a lot of numbers on the same line or a lot of numbers with the same last digit.
