Mist people wouldn't bet with those states eliminated.

To group those states together would be known as the 'field' and you'd have to lay a lot to win less.

Some of Tyson's fights come to mind, people were putting up $1500 to $2000 or more to win $100.

This would be $15 or $20 to win $1 on a PB proposition bet.

The top ten states (CA,TX,FL,NY,IL,PA,OH,GA,NC, and MI) have more than half the population, exclude them and you have a real opportunity. 38 options (D.C and VI are annoyed at you) for a $25-$30 prize. In the event of a winner from a big state or no winner, everyone loses and needs to buy for the next draw.

I like the idea but the payout would need to be like $25 to $30 to account for the odds and Cali might have some trouble with their special rule.

The payouts would be varied.

The state with the largest populations, and this the most ticket sales, would probably be something like you'd have to lay $1.50 to win $1.

States like North Dakota and Wyoming would be underdogs and pay more than $1 for $1.

But the MUSL which runs PB and MM and other games already has enough on its hands.

Sounds fun but probably wouldn't work. Just pay $46 (or buy 46 tix and 46 add-ons) and win the state pick-em JP every time.

Pick the Jackpot State

What would you guys think if Powerball gave you the option for $1 to pick the Jackpot winning state or state's?

Each state you pick would cost $1.

Let's say it would start out at $1 million and it would increase $250,000 for each draw until the jackpot was won.

The winnings would be paid out by the number of winners who pick the correct Jackpot winning state or states.

If no one picks the right state or states it just keeps on rolling until the next Jackpot is won.... [ More ]
