I probably would; not as often, but like Music* said, having more money to play wheels and, as others have said, more as entertainment. I certainly wouldn't fret over missing a drawing, though.

A yr. or two after the Texas Lottery started, they aired a TV commercial with two past winners. They were both older men and the advert was funny; they sitting on the porch and were arguing about who was going to be the first one to win the lottery a second time.

Most claim they will still play after a huge win, speaking for myself I don't know yet. If a major win crosses my path I'll decide at that point.

Giving the whole thing away to charity- not a bright idea if you ask me. As loving and caring as Jesus was, his disciples carried a money box and l have yet to read of him donating all the money to charity he was no fool.

Most LP Members have a lottery budget. When they win big they will just increase that amount by a reasonable amount.

Some of those that posted a reply said that after a jackpot win it would game over for playing the lottery while others said they would continue to play.

Think about golf pros or tennis champs. After they win The Masters or Wimbledon they are right back there to try and win the next time.

I would only play scratch offs. I'd buy rolls at a time. The only times I'd play draw games is when it got over 800 million then I'd buy like 10k tickets at a time lol

Even if they lowered the odds, they would still be astronomical and not many people would win.

There's no way to know how many multiple winners there would be. Look at the lower odds games most states offer and you'll see that there are only one or two winners when those games are won. I don't remember seeing any N.Y.S. Lotto game with anywhere near 10 winners.

I used to play $5 or $10 every drawing. But then they kept changing the matrix and making the odds higher and higher. So

after I while I just stopped. I still play once in a while when the jackpot gets up around 300-400. The money would be nice,

but do I really need $800 million? No. And I certainly wouldn't want to deal with all the BS that comes with the publicity,

My thinking: All the years that I have played and lost while others winners have benefited from my loses is a paid in full statement moving forward. Seeing some of the comments on here, I now better understand why MUSL refuses change their JP format from one winner of a big jackpot to many winners of a smaller amount (for example: from 1 winner of $500 million to say 50 winners of $10 million). They would lose a lot of players, especially in that case, over time! It would also be interesting to see how the JP amount would build over time. Small to me would be a MM jackpot of $15 million--split 3 ways. I wouldn't put any more energy into winning than I do now. Usually an 8 to 10 draw ticket per month.

I'd most likely quit, I already went from an every draw player to an occasional player,

when I changed my preference to CFL and LFL.

If I was in a store and got the urge I might buy a ticket..but it wouldn't be the reason for the trip anymore.

I dont think I would have a ticket in every draw, or even still play that regularly. I would consider tickets when the jackpots are getting quite high.

It would also depend on the jackpot size that I'd won. If I only win a million, after taxes- there is still some daydreams left unfunded, and I would probably continue to play.

zephbe...What do you consider a small jackpot? To me, anything under two or three million would be a small jackpot. In that case, I would keep playing. I guess it all depends on what someone actually needs to live a comfortable life.

This lady didn't win MM or PB but still two decent wins and blew it.

Evelyn Adams won the New Jersey Lottery twice (in 1985 and 1986), for over $5.4 million combined (both prizes were paid in the form of mandatory annuities.) However, she was a compulsive gambler, giving large sums to friends and family. By 2001, Adams was living in a trailer.

If I won a small jackpot I would probably keep playing to fund some projects--not for bling.

It depends how much I won. If it was a reset of Mega Millions and I split the base jackpot then yes, I would continue to play. If I won a jackpot of $80 million where I would most likely net $30 million after taxes then no, I would no longer play regularly.
