Dollar and a dream is more like a dollar down the drain. I could enjoy a nice dunkin doughnut with that $1 . I wouldnt even want to get started with scratchoff stuff. Anything lottery related that is can be purchased 24/7 in a convienience store is a sure fire way to lose all your money especially when you have a choice of $10 $20 $50 $100 sure take your pick and feed into you... [ More ]

I don't look at the odd of winning the Jackpot. I look at the overall odds of winning anything (refund of money or greater). Mega millions has overall odds of 1 in 14.71 or 6.8%. Powerball is 1 in 24.9 or 4%. So in the simplistic terms, expect 4-7+ dollars for each 100$ you spend on the 2 games. Meanwhile, for 20$ scratchers (in illinois) the overall odd are about 40% (1$ tickets are at about 20%). As nice as winning 100million+ might be you have to ask if it's worth blowing 90+% of the money wh... [ More ]

The lottery officials have become quite greedy when it comes to the Powerball and MegaMilions. They made it difficult to win in order to increase the Jackpot to their desired payout amount. Everything is done by computer to ensure that no one has the winning numbers. The live drawings are just for show. There was a time when a lot of folks won either game. And this was before the Lottery Officials decided to expand the game to other states.

In my opinion, Pick 4 is simply the $10 version of Pick 3. Those who use Pick 3 and place $10 wager on one set of numbers straight always outperform the Pick 4 players because the Lottery makes it seem that you can win more on the Pick 4 games. In fact, it's the opposite. If a person is able to understand how the Pick 3 drawings work, they could use it to their advantage by simply playing around 10 or 20 sets of numbers straight and place either $10 or $100 per set. If the numbers hit, it's eith... [ More ]

Everyone wants a way to spend $1 and win THOUSANDS if not millions consistently.

This is one of the most truthful statements I've seen made on this site in quite some time. The lottery is no different than trying to start any given business in that it takes money to make money compiled with a successful plan (system)...plain and simple. I'm talking about the small games here. Personally, when I see where a player has won on a straight or even a box hit with only a couple bucks or so, I know... [ More ]

I've heard of people buying a thousand dollars worth of tickets, but I never saw anyone actually do it. People think they can make a significant dent in the odds, but they cant. It costs more money than most people have to do that.

Part of the problem is that people simply don't realize just how big a number like 1 million really is. It doesn't matter what it is, but if you really do have one million of something, then you've got one helluva a lot of them. Well, I can tell you that anytime 6275 comes in any form , my old friend wins at least $1,000. He plays it every single day. Once a couple years ago it came straight and he won $25,... [ More ]

For example, a person might have 30 sets of Pick 3 numbers already marked for that day's draw. If he follows the Lottery Post forum on how the other players(in his home state) get their numbered pairs, he could figure out how to arrange them based on the pairs posted. Once he has his number written down, then its all about the cost.

I wonder if this character is still on the streets of NY making that kind of cash given that this post is from a Nov 2015 article. Sometimes opening up your cake hole about your fortunes can have a negative impact on your revenue flow. Out here in this neck of the woods there is a panhandler who had his little dog wrapped around his neck with his sign says bet you can't hit me with a quarter. Very creative to say the least.

We get the gamblers brain when we win. How many people think I'm playing with their money at casinos when we win and end up losing it all back and then some. Same with playing the lottery, until you quit you are either ahead, at a loss or break even. A job gives you a pay check at the end of every week. The lottery is like a puzzle to me, sometimes the pieces fit just right and other times it never fits no matter what you try, but..... I like puzzles
