So as not to further derail this thread, I suggest posting your calculations in the Mathematics forum along with an explanation of what an odds calculator is. Is it an online calculator? They come in many flavors and how they calculate odds depends very much on what the inputs are. I think you may have misunderstood what the inputs should be when you came up with your answer. I think it's to help screen out the serious players, who don't get Quick-Picks, but pick their own numbers..play at the last minute, close to cutoff time(10:45p, MM), (9:50p, Pwrball)

Members residing in a State that presently doesn't print the time of purchase on their lottery tickets?...try analyzing your favorite game's stats, then submit your tickets close to the cutoff time there, and see what happens...

You may also want to compare results of submitting some plays earlier in the day vs later , near cutoff time... honestly post your findings...

Yep, there have been a lot of posters pass through that have had their own ideas. Years ago there was a poster who came in to tell us we were all using sets and combos wrong. What we were calling combinations and sets were actually permutations. Needless to say all the arguments he offered didn't take hold.

We know for a fact lottery game drawings can be rigged, but in every known example the people that rigged the drawings did it for their personal benefit. Lots of bookies illegal book state lottery's pick-3 games and payout at $600 to $1. I don't know. Maybe I'm in the minority when it comes to conspiracies regarding lotteries scanning tickets to avoid paying jackpots.

I know I'm not paranoid. If I'm delusional, and I may be, it's only in the hopes and dreams of winning a major jackpot. But worrying about the lottery checking my numbers to keep me from winning? Nah.

I've been a member on here for a while now, and one of the first things I learned upon joining was that there is always someone that pops up from time to time that is a paranoid conspiracy theorist, and or, delusional.

It's just a normal thing on a website about lotteries.

All of the conspiracy/delusional players ignore the fact that the vast majority of winning jackpot tickets are QP's, but they still are convinced the lotteries are scanning their self-picked numbers to keep them from win... [ More ]

Deleted everything, found an interstate and got off the backroads.

Should be able to move forward tomorrow barring any stupidity in what I've done.

Try something like..... I get all my winning numbers from Bigfoot while we share stolen cookies.

Sometimes you can rile up the masses with misspelled words. Say something about Cartesian.....but keep spelling it Cartoonsion. Watch out for pitchforks!

I'm fine with that. Both define the same event allbeit using different terms while neither change the outcome.

If you read the link, its titled Know the Difference and points out how the two are commonly interchanged (even by the media).

If it works for you, use it, (and don't listen to anything I say that could confuse you else you find yourself knee deep in numbers muck, looking at the GPS to see which way it out, or up, and anywhere but here).

This exactly why I only use a Polaroid Camera to take pictures for my Teal Leaf Readings. No digital records or nosey Walgreen Photo tech issues.

I have, on occasion, found the date/time stamp useful if purchasing multiple QPs from different locations in the same day.

Working with 5/35. Should/might work for Texas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and South Dakota. How well it works has yet to be determined. There is also the possibility the game patterns change and it becomes a waste of time.

Personally I'd like to play in South Dakota. Texas, Massachusetts, and Connecticut are all flat rate games. Texas pays $25,000, the others pay $100,000. South Dakota is a growing game with an increasing jackpot. They have had jackpots go over $500,000.

California announces the Retailer that sold the Winning tickets. I have not kept track of the Addresses also listed but It would be a good thing to know, I think.

This could give you an Idea of where to buy your tickets. California is a big State so it would be impossible to do buy all of the tickets yourself. It is going to take a Network of Local Buyers and a means of communicating the combinations that is Secure.

After using all the stats you come up with for your sets also stuff all your pants pockets with 4 different luck charms. Suggestion, stop playing because whatever you come up with will be defeated by the state lottery computers so why keep wasting your time and money?

No quarrel on my part. I may sound testy but mostly that is the danged combinations. They match for 8 to 80 draws get off by one, go off by two and go back to matching. I was hoping to put together a prediction set for the 100 day challenge. But that ain't happening tonight. And maybe not tomorrow.
