Yeah, we wait till at least $1,000,000,000.00 to even consider thinking about possibly of maybe playing.

It's about 4 times the odds.

This last PB run saved us $500.00 if played like we wanted to play at 10 lines per game.

That would be $750.00 if we got power played.

But, here we go again, waiting...

I have never seen anyone argue that pari-mutuel payouts are unfair -- p-m states pay out 50% of the take just as a fixed payout states do. Pari-mutuel payouts are simply annoying to many people because of their unpredictability, and people are entitled to be annoyed. Even if the 5+0 CA PB prize sometimes cracks 5+ million, it's often less than 1 million and much closer to 100K. And yet, a lot of people will continue to whine about how unfair the parimutuel payouts are.

If it rolls over the advertised jackpot will increase $36 million to 430, and the cash value will increase by $25 million. The last time PB got past 400 was almost a year ago and it increased 34 million from 414 to 448, but the cash value only increased $20.6 million. I'm pretty sure you meant to say 19 drawings, and you're forgetting two things. One is that they have to pay out all of the lower tier prizes using money that you've listed as a profit. The other is that what they add to the advertised jackpot isn't the cash that a winner will actually get, so their cost for the jackpot isn't as much as you've listed. This is at a $2.00 per ticket price sale so factor in the power play, you can add to it accordingly. Let's say an employee that operates a cash register, has counted their drawer receipts... takes a lunch break with their boss, comes back and discovers funds missing from their drawer( obviously via Math)

This PB drawing 1/8/20.. Average moved a whopping 2.5... ordinarily .3-.7 and that's not a sign that it's reacting to some numerical stimuli?...

Plus the sum of the 5 white balls remained at 112.. the same as the previous game's total... Hitting the brakes so to speak...!! Heck, a few more Games of this kinda trickery, yea... It just may make it to 1 Billion.

Personally, don't care how high it goes. I typically play for the $2 million prize (with the multipliers). If I hit the whole thing, cool. Even the $2 mil after taxes guarantees instant retirement for me at my age. The odds of hitting second prize is less than half of hitting the Texas Lotto jackpot. $3 cost? Whatever. Don't care about that either. Heck, there's scratchoffs that cost $20 that only pay $1 million.

Two practically identical games is boring to me too, but you'd be surprised how many people will buy both, even when one jackpot is significantly smaller than the other, just for the sake of ritual. They're afraid if they don't play their numbers consistently those numbers will hit precisely on the drawing they skipped.

Also, having two practically identical games is part of the lottery's vast conspiracy against Stats Talker and his Probability Math TM.

It definitely needs a matrix change, and a price change would be nice. The whole game is far too similar to Mega Millions in my opinion. If they were more differentiated I think players would be more inclined to buy both. As they are now, I notice people just pick the one that's currently got a bigger jackpot.

Speculatin' for this participant says someplace in the $450M area. Last time a winner hit a figure in the $400+ range was 3/17/2018($455M) and on 6/10/2017 ($435M) and on 2/22/2017($403M).................
