I also choose my own numbers. Haven't won a huge prize, but do better when I choose my own set of numbers that mean something to me. I rarely do a quick pick and when I do, I don't match a number. I don't feel confident with computers when buying a ticket or more.

I only play cash 4 and I get quick picks all the time. They are extremely helpful they usually give you pairs, triads, and sometimes a win. I ve won several times with a quick pick it s a glimpse of what s coming.

When I used to read the lottery winners' stories back in the mid-2000s, it seemed as if most of not all of them used Quick Picks.

The winning ticket for the $1.05 billion MM jackpot was a quick pick. When ever any jackpot gets over $500 million, probably more than 95% of ticket sales are QPs.

There are many more almost jackpots that are not publicized.

IMHO each state is competing for the Jackpot.

Hi - I have noticed with quick picks - that they are generally way off the mark - I do my own quick picks - and I like to balance between odds and evens and highs and lows - I have had pretty good success with smaller payouts - nothing BIG yet - but - that's why we play the lottery - because if you ain't in it - you won't win it!

I only play my local (provincial) 649 - because it is just a buck a line - so I can have more coverage for less $$$'s

I won $100 by having a ONE off quick pick umber literally ONE number off. I had 6847 quick pick and 6857 showed up netting me $100. :)

No, never won a jackpot with it, only the little 1 or 2 matching numbers with the bonus ball.

But the craziest one i know of is here in Texas and can be seen on the site.

The Megamillion on 10/11/2016 was won with non quickpick numbers.

all separated by 3 and the mega ball was 3

When I do a search on quick pick percentage wins , most official answers are wishy washy at best. Around 70% to 80% , is a common enough answer. Why this range? Vagueness is the tell.

Every lottery game depends on the perception that players can win. I know you like my Capt. Obvious statements.

Going with around 70% play quick picks, then around 30% carefully select their numbers, or waste their money on a junk piece of software that they don't understand that guesses their numbers.

You say the terminal's quick picks are rigged against you, but offer no proof. So lend evidence to your claim by purchasing an equal number of quick picks and showing us what you get. Yep, like with pick-3 games the lottery keep around 50% of sale. It means some players are winning half the sales. I always thought the PB response was tongue-in-cheek way of saying if 70% of the sales are QPs, 70% of the winning tickets should be QPs. If memory serves, (and it may not, I'm 66) the fellow that wrote the answers to the questions on PB's page was Chuck Strutt. He was an exec at MUSL, and actually had a Q A here on LP a few years ago.

He ended up leaving MUSL after the Hot Lotto fiasco.

Has anyone won with quick picks? I am thinking of doing quick picks instead of guessing numbers but I do not know if quick picks has more odds of winning
